Five years later, NYC nowhere close to building COVID memorial: ‘It’s disgusting’

New York City was the world’s epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, but five years and 46,000 deaths later a memorial to the victims and their caregivers is nowhere close to being realized.

A City Council bill to study building a memorial on Hart Island — the Potter’s Field where thousands were buried during the peak of the pandemic – remains stalled a year after being introduced, and state legislation to fund memorials going up throughout the Empire State sits dormant in Senate and Assembly committees.

A monument to the flu that threw an election.

Americans sense, some perhaps only unconsciously, that the lockdowns exited primarily to conceal the Democrat Party’s malicious policy goals.

So what? Will taxpayers be footing the bill to memorialize a global scam?

Drop the plans.

I don’t want a memorial. I want full acknowledgment of what the government did wrong and jail time/fines for those who hid negative vaccine info.

I want a full and impartial investigation into where this virus came from. I, for one, do not believe the “wet market” theory.

So the monument will be a golden syringe with a height of 60 cubits?

How many new headstones for crime victims? Those should count for something.

Something seems a bit odd about these... Just slapping a name on something, where there's nothing in sight re: naming victims, or showing/explaining what Covid even was.

Please explain why there needs to be a memorial to people who died of a disease. I doubt that New York City has a memorial to the 35,000 people who died due to the 1918 influenza outbreak. I see the need to honor the military, police, and first responders, but where is the need to memorialize ordinary citizens?

Instead, NY should spend money on prosecuting all the murderers who promoted this fraudulent “epidemic” and prosecuting those medical losers who promoted it and their murderous “treatment” of patients.

“New York City was the world’s epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic,” <-—this is BS. New York had nothing more or less to do with COVID than any other place, other than CONCENTRATED governmental blunder.

Covid was a world-wide disaster, akin, perhaps, to a world war, and made far worse by government missteps. There’s plenty of argument that COVID was a trial run for a CCP attack on the rest of the world.

There’s no more reason to erect a COVID monument than to erect a new monument to Robt E. Lee or perhaps the worst slaveowner in the South, and we have assiduously removed all those monuments.

There needs to be an acknowledgement that the “Greatest City in the World” embraced Jim Crow; the meaningless “never again” is not required.
