Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are tasked with cutting down the $6,750,000,000,000 that the federal government spent in 2024 under their new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The group will work outside the government to “dismantle bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures and restructure federal agencies,” according to a statement from President-elect Donald Trump. John Hart, CEO of watchdog Open the Books, which monitors fiscal waste, told The Post they will curb “spending that has been on autopilot where there’s no real thought or purpose behind it.”
Finding areas to cut isn’t hard — many jaw-dropping examples are revealed in the government’s own reports. Here are some of the first gravy trains expected to be derailed:
...
Dead people cashing in
...
Russian cat research
...
$50 million monkey business... Spending by the NIH
...
Drag shows in Ecuador
...
Empty federal buildings..
Federal agencies are using on average 12% of the space in their headquarters
...
The General Services Administration is spending $2 billion annually to maintain government-owned offices and $5 billion to lease space.
DEI rages on..
The Department of Health and Human Services hired 294 employees at a cost of $38.7 million to oversee diversity, equity and inclusion
...
Handouts to China

UN Agenda 21 , 2030 , Great Reset, ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
I have more faith in TRUMP & MUSK than any prior “leader’ I can name
The UN, DoE, TSA, DHS, ATF, any abortion providers, free cell phones to homeless and illegals, along with all the other perks.
I suspect you would get the best results by catching them very young, performing irreversible surgery, and constantly conditioning them to accept their new gender role.
Hey, wait a minute....
(I'd rather get rid of food stamps and welfare altogether, but that's another discussion.)
The Laffer Effect from the tax cuts will raise government revenue, and there will be less money spent with no DOE.
There was the shrimp “treadmills”
All this is trivia compared to Medicaid (for poor) and welfare.
Tax remittances back to other countries 33% or whatever the top federal tax rate is. It would make $333 BILLION.
Most illegals are on medicaid and welfare. Removing them from the USA would balance our budget. In fact, we’d have a surplus. PLUS the ones who work crowd US citizens out of the job market. They could move into the job market. Result: we’d have a surplus and could pay down debt AND lower taxes.
Shrimp on Treadmills is my favorite.
Deport all illegals, seize their assets as fruit of illegal enterprise, to fund the expense of deporting them.
Obscure research
The National Endowment for the Humanities spends hundreds of thousands of dollars per year on obscure studies. Their January 2024 grants alone awarded over $350,000 to research and write books on: The history of Muslim-Chinese encounters in Asia from the 1360s to the 1640s; the history and sociological impact of liver disease in Egypt and the nature of imprisonment in England from 1550 to 1800.
They should keep a list of their cuts and publish it widely. They should ask the American public for possibilities to cut.
Nothing will be cut if Congress does not approve.
Cashier in my state complained about wetbacks going through her lane and had $30,000 on their debit card. Start there.
One of the most efficient ways to cut the workforce would be to relocate unwanted parts of the government out of Washington DC to Nome, Alaska.
foreign aid laundry machines,
stupid pet projects that have strings to personal bank accounts,
give aways to organizations here and overseas that are not America friendly,
community organizing activists and thier many sub groups
Millions of dollars spent on “art” for government buildings, that is not creative or considered artistic, but is just tossing money at government friends. People like Hunter Biden that gets many thousands of dollars for “artistic” paintings.
DOGE BUMP!
