Former President Bill Clinton made a remark that may well have handed the election to Donald Trump after he admiited the economy was better while he was in the White House.
Clinton’s pro-Trump slip elicited groans from the crowd in Muskegon Heights.
The former president quickly clarified, urging attendees to support Harris despite his comments on the economy.
“I don’t think it’s right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better than,” Clinton stated, adding that he believes Harris would be the better choice in the upcoming election.

Bill Clinton was - and probably still is - morally a piece of garbage. But he was certainly the last Democrat president to have any common sense.

Kinda hurts to say it, but you’re spot on. For all the ugly stuff, he at least believed in the policies he pursued, and understood when and where to take the fight.

That's the maim reason. But if you think about it, should the election go ill (which he knows it will) the dems will be leaderless with no future at all. He gets it.
He represents the DINO faction of the DNC. He has always been fundamentally transactional and in the vacuum of a party bereft of policy and ideas he can represent some path back to a semblance reason.
He nor Hill will run for office again, they seek the levers of power that Obama took from them.
Bill has made several fair, reasonably honest comments that help the R campaign this year
