The former crown prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, called for an end to the Islamic Republic government to bring peace to the Middle East in a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pahlavi, whose family was exiled from Iran following the 1979 revolution, has called for an end to the current government in Tehran and the reinstatement of democracy in the nation.
After saying that Iran facilitated the October 7 attacks in Israel and fueled sectarian conflicts in countries across the Middle East, he also emphasized that this is "not the Iranian people's war," and promoted ousting the government and moving forward to regain peace.
He said, "So I say to you, our friends across the Middle East—our region deserves so much better. But in order to succeed, first, this regime, that has held us hostage for nearly half a century, must go.
"The Middle East is all too familiar with turmoil and upheaval. So, I know, you might fear change will bring chaos. But fear not—we will not allow a power vacuum to follow the collapse of this regime.
"I will step forward, at their [my compatriots'] call, to oversee this peaceful transition to democracy, and Iran's return to the community of nations. Peace is neither a relic of history, nor a distant dream, it is a promise we owe to ourselves and our children, and together we can make it a reality."

The Shah, SAVAK and woke pervo modern Westernism! How could they refuse?
SAVAK was formed with the help of the CIA and Israel's Mossad. The Shah expanded SAVAK after 1963, and it grew to include over 5,300 full-time agents and a large number of part-time informers. SAVAK was known for its brutality, and torture became widespread.
Better we keep your favored mullahs with nukes.
I know Iran pays trolls well. Do you cash their check, or are you a free stooge?
You have a link for this troll pay thingy? I could use the cash. Don’t judge me because I’m not a free stooge. I definitely want paid. The more money the more creative I’ll get.
THIS WOULD BE SOOOO GREAT...THE SHAH OF IRAN’S SON TO BE PUT IN CHARGE OF HIS COUNTRY.
AND KINDLY PUT THOSE MULLAHS OUT TO PASTURE.
I WONDER WHAT THE PRINCE LOOKS LIKE.
“I definitely want paid. The more money the more creative I’ll get.”
I’ll bet you could do a better job than what we’re getting from both sides.
“This will really be welcomed in Tehran. What could be better than a replay of 1953?”
It will be, and who cares about ancient stuff like 1953? They won’t be killing Americans anymore.
(”Peace is neither a relic of history, nor a distant dream, it is a promise we owe to ourselves and our children, and together we can make it a reality.”)
A false peace will indeed come.
It will be confirmed as 7 years of ‘Peace and Security’
I lived in Tehran in 1960. I was in the 7th grade and knew nothing of politics. My next door neighbor was Ali a kid my age. We were friends. His dad was a colonel in the police. He was not Savak but a loyalist to the Shah, “Reza Shah Palavi Shah and Shah of Iran.” I always wonder what happened to Ali after the Shah was deposed courtesy of Jimmy Carter. Hopefully he is alive today. I doubt it.
When I would go to Ali’s house I was allowed to be with the men and Ali. We would drink tea and have caviar and sweets. Ali’s Mom and or sisters would serve us. I was just a kid and had no idea what a privilege this was. This old man misses those days.
Iran then was very pro western. Women could walk the streets in western clothing and were free of religious edicts. Oddly, some women preferred to dress in a shador which covered their body totally and was acceptable. The women had a choice. That is no longer so in Iran. Today a woman in Iran is a subject of religious decrees from the Mullahs and government which are one and the same.
Today we look at Iran as an enemy. Its people are not our enemy. The government and the Iranian Revolution Guard are our enemy. The people of Iran are not our enemy.
SAVAK will be very busy rounding up the IRG and Basij who have been terrorizing their own people for 45 years.
“ SAVAK was known for its brutality, and torture became widespread.”
Did SAVAK hang to death every Ba’Hai they could lay their hands on?
Asking for a friend.
L
So who are you, the Man from UNCLE Miltie?
YOU ARE SOO RIGHT.
UNLESS THIS PRINCE IS A REAL PIECE OF DRECK...HE ...IS...THE SON OF THE FORMER LEADER OF IRAN.
FOR GOD’S SAKE, IF HE IS ...SANE...GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE “HOLY MEN” WHO JUST LOOOOOVE TO KILL.
LET’S SEE HOW THIS SHAKES OUT.
I LIKE THE PROSPECTS.
IF REZA IS ANYTHING LIKE TRUMP...WE HAVE ...A SAVIOUR AND A FRIEND.
I think a lot of Iranians would prefer life without the mullahs, and be OK with the fundamentalists being as savagely suppressed as possible.
exactly. I can’t believe we have pro-Ayatollah folks like hardspunned on Freerepublic.
Being bipolar and all, you could argue both sides of any issue. Double your pay.;)
I like how you think.
