Ukraine's military will pull out of Vuhledar in the east after 2 years of intense fighting

Ukrainian forces are withdrawing from the front-line town of Vuhledar, perched atop a tactically significant hill in eastern Ukraine, after more than two years of grinding battle, military officials said Wednesday.

Vuhledar, a town Ukrainian forces fought tooth and nail to keep, is the latest urban settlement to fall to the Russians as the war stretches deep into its third year and the Ukrainian army is gradually being pushed backward in the eastern Donetsk province.

The tactical significance of the town, situated at the confluence of two major roads, is two-fold. Dominant heights and proximity to railway lines offer Moscow greater protection for their own logistics routes, and a better vantage point for attacks against Ukrainian forces and supply lines feeding the south.

Its capture is another notch in Moscow’s belt, bringing it closer to the key logistics hub of Pokrovsk.

Billions in his bank account is the victory plan. No accountability for the billions we’ve wasted on this war and we have homeless vets and flood victims asking what about Americans.

Complete disaster. Thousands of dead on both sides. Nothing to be gained by the fighting. Ugh.

The Military Summary Channel shows the town under complete Russian control. Apparently, there were only 900 Ukes left alive to be captured.

Regrettably not one question about Ukraine in last night’s debate.

--- "Regrettably not one question about Ukraine in last night's debate."

My wife and I read some European press as well, notably German language, and observe a subtle shift in the "cheering," such that a change of direction in the narrative writing is ongoing. Ukraine nor being among the debate questions suggests a small memory hole is appearing and will enlarge over coming months.

Yes! This is another loss on the path to victory for the Ukes! The more they lose, the more they win! At least according to the Western propaganda organs and the Uke sycophants here on FR.

They waited too long to retreat. The road leading out of the area is littered with the bodies of soldiers who tried to pull out too late. Russia captured another 800 Ukrainians who didn’t try to run the gauntlet under Russian fire control. This was another sacrifice of Ukrainian men for a stupid political reason. The Ukrainians knew the city couldn’t hold out but they didn’t give the order to retreat because little Z was kissing ass in Washington and NYC. What a way to fight a war.

Yep, more like their “Mariupol Withdraw”, where they come out with their guns down and hands up.

INCREDIBLE - Russia states that the Neocons sending missiles deep into Ukraine will be an act of war against them, while the Neocons (meaning the US government) are still debating on whether to do such.

The problem for Ukraine is that they have long supply lines and a forward defensive strategy. Once Russians take a positon or a town, everything at the end of the Ukrainian supply line is broken or dead. There is no retreat. They fight in place and they die in place. The reason Russia makes gains is becasue the supplies run short, and the replacements can no longer defend. In sector after sector, Russia destroys everything the West can push forward.

History Legands had a good video on Youtube yesterday, showing production and losses, or the Plus/Minsus factors and misconceptions. He goes into detail how Ukraine is only winning on the battlefield but losing and Zelinski’s hand out because he is losing; the scam being run by the political elite and the MSM has no favorable’s and ultimately, although he doesn’t get into it - many of the politicians invovled in sending aid are involved in the supply chain, thus the politicians in every country benefit from the war.

Ukraine has lost 6-1 in manpower. At the end of 2023 it was closer to 4-1 but as Russia gains military power, and focuses’ on fewer targets they become lethal. Ukraine will be lucky to a quarter million soldiers when Trump/Harris Administration comes into office.

No we ont have the money for those either but we MUST print more for these situations...the vets and the flood.

They are Americans affected.

when you’re 35 trillion in debt and your interest bill is a trillion, you dont have any money.

But the govt should at least TRY not to spend anything it doesn’t need to.

Like losing wars because the one world govt wants one.

As for the flood, even a cheapskate like me is donating.

Damn, I stopped donating to vets several years ago....this reminded me I have to start again

thanks

The war cheerleaders need to remember a few things, Marioupol, Bakmut, Avidivka, now Ugledar.

The West can not wrap its head around the fact Ivan wars in ways we can not comprehend . Russia has been around many centuries before the West, and will be around till “ the End”.

This shouldn’t be “ news”, Vlad isn’t giving up his ethnic Russian provinces, ever.

Simply because everyone knows the Ukies have no path to victory, none. US’s long planned “ Project Ukraine” is dead, and so is our hegemony.

Who is next? Time to declare Project Ukraine FAILED and move onto Project China? Project Middle East? The war cheerleaders I suspect haven’t learned their lesson, but they will at some point.
