Former President Donald J. Trump took to social media Sunday and offered a prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel, adding his own spiritual perspective on the struggles – past, present, and future – he continues to endure in the 2024 presidential race.
Trump shared his public invocation on X during Michaelmas, offering: “Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.”
“May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.”

Angels are real. They are all over the Bible. They are all over the Gospel. Jesus’ coming was announced by an Angel
Period
Guardian angels. If they watch, don't think they will take a prayer to the Father? But to your question, post chapter and verse where we are to pray to Jesus?
Amen sister!
This creeps me out. He’s praying to an angel?!”
Catholic bs...
No group is more anti Catholic than FR
The prayer calls for the intercession of st Michael to cast in to Hell Satan by the POWER of GOD
The ignorant and hatered. The closed minded prejudice is so disgusting and nasty
Usually I don’t read comments at X much because it’s depressing. But I read some comments on this and the number of people calling Trump the anti-Christ and saying that Christians can’t support him is frustrating.
We definitely need God to intervene on our behalf, because this is a war between good and evil. The Father of Lies has been very, very busy and people are like sheep without a shepherd.
To the voters in general I say this: Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” Think of your life over the past 8 years. Under which administration did you have a more abundant life, and which was marked more by stealing, killing, and destroying?
By their fruits you will know them. The son who said he was going to work in the fields but didn’t was not praised in the parable, but the one who initially said he wouldn’t but then actually did was praised. One of the Presidential candidates did the work; the other didn’t but claims she will if she’s elected again.
Even if the false accusations and felonies were true of Trump, it is also true that Kamala imprisoned men she knew were innocent and kept out of jail Planned Parenthood folks who she knew were planning to butcher fully-born infants and sell the body parts. Her whole platform is that she will allow women to kill their preborn children at any time for any reason, will make that the law of the land, and will require even Mother Theresa to pay for those killings.
It is alleged - using illegal testimony and by having the statute of limitations altered just to allow the woman to file suit - that Trump sexually assaulted a woman who fantasized about being raped, claimed she had been raped multiple times by different people, and got excessively rich from her claims with no evidence and which she falsely “remembered” either the date or the dress. But there is no question that Harris has deliberately left our southern border open to known rapists, murderers, and gangs and that those people have since committed those crimes here - sometimes after being set free from other charges because of Kamala’s ilk requiring no bail, refusing to prosecute, and/or letting them out of prison after serving very little time.
One of these candidates is a wolf in sheep’s clothing - seeking to steal, kill, and destroy and actually being very effective at doing so in her first 3.5 years in office, and Americans need to recognize the warfare that Satan is using and WHY he is using that warfare.
God, help us!
“ you don’t pray to angels”
No one is praying to an angel.
anti catholic as expected here with the ignorant hateful anti Catholics at FR
He is praying for the intercession of st michael to do Gods will by Gods power
Read the prayer or look like an idiot
Interested to know- where did you study theology? Your man cave with the Budweiser boys?
“ There are Catholic bigots on this site. Don’t let them make it all about themselves and what they believe while belittling what others believe.”
You are saying that Trump’s praying the St Michael prayer is bigotry
“ BINGO!!! There are more Catholic BIGOTS lately than I have ever seen in 27 YEARS!!!!”
I’ve never seen this
Please provide one example
If you’re saying it is bigoted to pray the St Michael prayer then that is just illogical
I see you are getting a lot of blow back on your comment.
Maybe the better thought would be:
What happened at the Zelensky meeting? Trump also recently hosted Netanyahu. These two meetings were not just photo-ops for the MAGA moguls.
Trump praying and posting such a powerful “prayer,” is an indication the world is in peril unlike anything the average U.S. citizen realizes. The prayer is for an intercession...
Not much unlike the Our Father prayer where we ask that the Holy God ‘deliver us from evil.’ Sometimes we have to face evil in order to be delivered from it and that help comes from the Lord and His Holy Army of Angels.
Does Trump’s invocation creep me out, yes, yes it does. Because what is happening and about to happen means we are going to have to face evil.
I pray that all is right with your soul. Admit you are a sinner. Believe Jesus is Lord. Call upon His Name.
Read this.
We’re in a spiritual war.
Why throw away the help of unfallen angels who are ministering spirits, for the sake of man-made teaching (”Sola Scriptura”) of centuries-old schismatics and heretics?
Lots of Dratted Protties seem to forget the historical continuity of the church: Christianity did NOT start with Luther or Calvin.

We pray it at the end of every mass.
Like asking a friend to pray for you.
Malachi Martin would be pleased. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtCtxgoAHRg
Good grief, you are right! Michael is who you turn to in a situation like this. I'm more worried now.
—> If they watch, don’t think they will take a prayer to the Father?
…but Scripture doesn’t teach that, so it is speculation.
It does teach us to pray to God and He hears us.
Yeah, I don't think your suppose to do that..
2 Kings 6:15:17
15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.
16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Wonderful passage about seeing the spiritual reality.
… but doesn’t teach us to pray to angels.
