Just a note. The first name of the guy killed at the rally was a guy named Corey Comperatore, 50, has a wife and two daughters who he shielded from the assassin. He attended church every Sunday. He was a fire fightet.

Responsibility for every post, every zone, every rooftop needs to be clearly assigned and this division of roles should have been clear to everyone.....This is standard practice for the Secret Service but it's also potentially new territory for each local police department.

Here is a link to the AP article in which it states a local officer climbed the ladder and encountered the shooter before retreating just before the shooter fired on Trump.

I would think the SS would bring that guy, as he would be the requirement holder.

Pretty sure there was a diversion of SS assets away from this event

The Trump SS security detail is being starved for resources by the Biden Secret Service head in hopes an assassin gets lucky.
They can only be in one place at a time .
Trump took a big risk to try to slip one more campaign stop into a critical swing state with a skeleton crew for a security detail.
In a way, he lost the bet, almost fatally, but his gamble may just pay off in the end

I believe most cops take the job for the donuts, pension, and get-out-of-jail-free cards. The don’t really want to protect anyone or encounter any danger. Just look at that video of the female SS agents for another example.
