They can only be in one place at a time .
Trump took a big risk to try to slip one more campaign stop into a critical swing state with a skeleton crew for a security detail.
In a way, he lost the bet, almost fatally, but his gamble may just pay off in the end
The “security” that was there did not do even the most basic requirements of the job: securing the rooftops which give an assassin a clear shot.
Doesn’t matter how many people ya got there if not a dang one of them is actually doing their job.

That’s something worth looking into, but if true the SS would likely never acknowledge it. A congressional committee might try but will probable get stonewalled.
