Major explosion at a building in Youngstown, Ohio: Multiple injuries reported
Multiple injuries were reported after a major explosion, allegedly at a Chase Bank building, from a presumed natural gas leak occurred in downtown Youngstown, Ohio.
Google maps has it listed as “Temporarily Closed”, so remodeling/renovation/gas leak issue probably. Multiple tenants in the building (upstairs). Larger main Chase Mortgage building one block away:

never go boating with your guns and Never put them in a Chase bank safety deposit box.we all know what happens when you do.
there’s orange fence on both sides of the street which indicates road/sewage work
See my post # 24
It depends on where the leak and ignition point was. My town had a gas explosion that killed 2 people manu years ago. My house was close enough to get damaged. An old gas pipe developed a crack. It leaked into the basement of the building. When the furnace kicked on, the entire building exploded. The building was 3 stories tall and turned into a pile of rubble in seconds.
You kept all your guns and ammo in that bank? What’s the matter? You couldn’t afford a boat?
In the bottom video, the orange barricades appear to be for street work. The traffic island down the middle looks fairly new, and my bet is the contractor hit an old gas service stub and didn’t report it.
Building 7?
Saw news article that workers in basement heard gas leak and ran out
What do they need natural gas line in a bank for, anyway?
Only one person is unaccounted for, structural engineers are doing an assessment of the 12 story building in downtown. Police and fire will continue the investigation and will cordon off the area UFN.
They use that excuse a lot lately.
At my old university they tried that story about a student who had a meth lab above a Jimmy John’s. Finally had to tell the truth later. There was a color news photo in the student paper of the windows all blown out with orange fireballs of flames still streaming out and the Jimmy John’s sign getting charred.
My joke I made up:
“Are these subs toasted?”
“They are now.”
Renovations. The building was fully occupied, per Local TV news sources.
A different explosion in Michigan. A legal marijuana and other substance place and illegal cannisters stored of nitrous oxide and other party favorites.

“The explosions are believed to be caused by canisters of butane, nitrous oxide, and lighter fluid stored in the building. Investigators initially believed a fire started and heated the containers and the gases, causing a series of explosions, which launched scrap two miles from the building.”
“Along with all my guns and ammo.”
Are you confessing to be a felon in WA if now in possession?
I’m hoping my Chase mortgage was there.
Why am I picturing Bonnie and Clyde?
“What do they need natural gas line in a bank for, anyway?”
My guess is used for heating.
Ohio always smells like that.
