PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) — MLB's new uniform reveal hasn't gone very well. Now some of the rampant criticism has moved below the belt.
Major League Baseball Players Association deputy executive director Bruce Meyer confirmed on Thursday that the organization is relaying concerns from players to MLB about the new pants, which are somewhat see-through. The complaints — first reported by ESPN — are part of broader scorn for the new uniforms, which are designed by Nike and manufactured by Fanatics.

Is MLB going for a trannsy look? .
Looks like the cheap pants my boys got in rec ball
That doesn’t look good.
it’s what I always hated about white polyester pants. You can see through them.
Baseball’s next step towards PRIDE?
MLB makes billions each year and the skimp on uniforms.
Well, they certainly don’t look like they’ll provide much protection while sliding into a base that’s for sure.
I played up to high school varsity baseball, countless innings of city league softball and had my share of “strawberries”.
I suspect those pants ain’t gonna help.
My kid would have those pants ripped with first slide.
They are going for the Homo Only Fans crowd.....................
The NFL pants aren’t much better if that......................
Nowadays there’s such a thing as sliding pants you wear under the uniform.
No such thing in my day....you just got scraped up and stuck to the sheets for a while. Lol!
Actually they get paid for the uniforms. Thanks to the “official replica” market companies are lined up for the privilege. Unfortunately this time Nike subcontracted to a company notorious for making cheap knock offs. So now cheap knock offs are the official uni. MLB should have looked at something other than the bid.
I thought all the King’s horses and all the King’s men couldn’t put him back together again!
And here he is playing baseball!!!

Sorry you went through that. I started wearing sliding pads as soon as I started wearing uniforms. Many even have padding around the lower hip area to slow injury. And this has lead to sliding mitts you see now at a number of different levels. Not by rule but by choice of the runner.

A player on the opposing team told one of them, “you’re the sweetest team we’ve seen yet.” The White Sox never wore them again.
But Dylan Mulvaney is ecstatic.
