There is no reason at this point,...GOP house to try to invoke 25th amendment.

The House plays no role in the invoking of the 25th. That is completely in the hands of the V.P. and the Cabinet. The only role for the House in the process occurs when or if the Cabinet declares Biden incapable of being President and Biden (or Dr Jill, really) disputes it. Both Houses have to vote by 2/3 majority that he is unfit.

So unless Biden is lying in bed in his own drool, I just don’t see it happening. But to be honest so many bizarre things are happening now, I don’t know I’d be surprised by anything.

But it is interesting. Biden is too old and out of it to be prosecuted, but Trump isn’t. I suppose that could be a campaign ad.

This can't be accidental, right?

There's no way it was accidental. The Special Counsel did exactly as he was told by superiors. He even went so far as to use Biden's words about the Trump Doc Case as evidence he knew it was a crime.

Newsom is probably front runner, but his performance against Desantis showed weaknesses. He's not gonna do well on stage against the likes of Trump.

25th must be triggered by VP and his cabinet. She might be ready but we know how his DOJ treats people who buck him.

Yes, that appears to be the course they are charting.

He should have never been elected.

I agree the 25th probably isn't the tool to be used. But I do think the left could use this issue to force Biden out. There was already a growing voice on the left that Biden was too old, with diminished cognitive abilities. This could push the party over the edge. But Biden won't go willingly, and that makes removing him difficult. This report might be the first shot in a war between Biden and the entrenched bureaucracy.

I can see Kamala voting to depose the President but not a majority of the cabinet.

What an excuse. They can't do a 25th on Biden because...Biden 'willfully' kept classified info, would come off as 'elderly man with poor memory' at trial, scathing report says

I don’t see how he can continue his president with this, and especially how he can run for reelection. I think we’re about to see a lot of Democrat fireworks as they figure out what to do about this.

A new nominee? What about our current president who is deemed incompetent to stand trial. How do we get through the next 8 months? Keep in mind we are in the middle of a campaign with debates and ads and opinions galore. Gonna be rough and we all lose IMHO.

Yes, rough and messy. But I do not see how he can remain his president if he’s incompetent to stand trial. That is a far worse conclusion by Hur than by simply recommending charges.

They may use this in the May-August time frame.

The Democrats...

I’m still banking on big Mike getting the nod.

If the 25th amendment is used to rid us of Joe, then KamalHo is President by default. Its would be up to her to nominate he VP.

If Joe were really “well meaning” he’d resign to spare us the hazards of his leadership. Since he isn’t, and won’t resign, is why the 25th was ratified. It gives the power to start removal to a few. They are responsible, through inaction, for Joe still being there, and like the Marvelous story of death of Uncle Ben Parker, for the harm resulting. What we should do is clear, from the their rule book! Alinsky, Rules For Radicals #4, "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules." And #13, "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.". I posted the targets three days ago. Have at them!
