Washington D.C. – Just months after securing an $18 million judgment against Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, news broke that Cecile Richards is suffering from terminal brain cancer.
Jesus exhorted his followers to “love our enemies” and “pray for those who persecute us.” With that sentiment, Operation Rescue is asking all followers of Jesus to pray for the healing and salvation of Planned Parenthood’s former chief executive.
When the groundbreaking Center for Medical Progress (CMP) videos hit the news in 2015, revealing Planned Parenthood’s illegal sale of baby body parts, Cecile Richards was President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). With relentless hostility, she went after the courageous pro-lifers willing to unveil Planned Parenthood’s terrible secrets.
PPFA sued every member of CMP, including Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, resulting in the current $18 million dollar judgment against the defendants. Richards denied, every step of the way, that Planned Parenthood ever broke the law, and an abortion-friendly judge made certain no more CMP videos could be released.
“Despite all Richards has done to destroy human life, and to destroy the pro-life movement, her own life is still precious in the eyes of God, and His will is always that the lost might be saved,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.
“We pray the words of Ephesians chapter one for Cecile Richards – that the eyes of her heart may be enlightened, so that she will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward those who believe. In short, we pray that Cecile might find salvation and healing, and we encourage all of our supporters to do the same.”

I think he would. Imagine how he could use her conviction and conversion if she realizes what she has done an she faces eternity. I hope she learns that operation rescue is praying for her.

Yesterday was a tough day for Planned Parenthood’s chief executive officer Cecile Richards (daughter of former Texas Governor Ann Richards). In addition to a grilling on the shocking videos (she denied everything – it was all “doctored” even though complete unedited versions of the tapes were available), her lavish half million dollar-plus salary, first class travel and parties, and PP’s $127 million “surplus” (don’t call it a profit because PP is a non-profit, doncha know), she managed to get herself caught in a lie.
The organization stoutly maintains that only 3% of its services constitute abortions, as if it were a minor sideline. However, a whopping 86% of revenues of non-governmental revenues are derived from abortion, as Rep. Lummis’s questioning developed. But the lie came when Richards admitted under questioning that PP does not provide mammograms and denied that it had ever claimed it does. Shoshana Weissman of the Weekly Standard has the goods.
Cecile Richards, testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on PPFA’s use of taxpayer funding. During testimony, she falsely asserted that, “we’ve never stated that we did” provide mammograms.
Oops! Weissman posts this video from 2011 on CNN, when Richards herself claimed “millions of women are going to lose access, not to abortion services, to basic family planning, you know, mammograms....”

Father God, please heal this woman of cancer and restore her body from damage already done by the cancer and by the medical procedures. Please do it in a way that You get the glory and no one believes it was a natural thing.
Make Cecile a prodigal daughter who turns to you and renounces everything to do with Planned Parenthood.
Thank you, Father God.
I pray she repents and uses her last days to end Planned Parenthood.

Many commands of God require the exercise of righteous judgment.
"But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us" (2 Thessalonians 3:6).
"And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother" (2 Thessalonians 3:14,15).
"Teach and exhort these things. If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wrangling of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself" (2 Timothy 6:2b-5).

All these commands require the careful exercise of righteousness judgment. Do not be deceived by smooth words and flattering speech. Beware of wolves who come to you with a sheep's skin.
We must be careful not to make unqualified judgments. But we must judge appropriately when commanded to do so.
"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." (John 7:24).
