Megyn Kelly is joined by Andrew Klavan, author of "The House of Love and Death,” to discuss major layoffs at the Los Angeles Times, Sports Illustrated potentially shutting down, media outlets losing audience and money after going woke, and more.
The comments of Andrew Klavan are very good, very insightful, I can't see how anyone here can fail to be entertained and encouraged by them.
I find it interesting that Megyn Kelly implicitly self-identifies as a conservative in the video.
I’m no business tycoon but it Could be lack of money that’s behind it.
What’s behind it?
Unemployment...........
Lack of money because the rags are not selling and people are not buying the socialist ideas the rags present.
Go Woke and Go Broke.
The real crime here is Taylor Lorenz' vocal fry.
Three essential things have occurred:
1. Preference for digital took over and paper production (between cost and man-hours) didn’t fit any longer as a business model.
2. You depend on readers and once you stopped being neutral on stories...you lost people. Skepticism made your product worthless.
3. Finally, there just isn’t any significant advertising anymore. That took out a big chunk of your profit margin.
I’ll add.
Anyone who wanted to stay up on the news generally had to buy the local rag. Digital news gave us the choice to avoid the leftist scum slant and seek our news elsewhere. The monopoly ended and the market decided.

“I find it interesting that Megyn Kelly implicitly self-identifies as a conservative in the video.”
She is just attempting to re-brand herself after her disgraceful anti-Trump behavior previously. The left doesn’t want her and who, on the right, would trust her now?
Megyn wanted to run with the “In Crowd” of leftist until she herself was ruthlessly and unfairly attacked by the people she thought were cool. It was an eye opener for her and now she sees things more clearly than before.
I cancelled my subscription to the local rag almost 30 years ago when their Easter Sunday edition failed to mention Easter.
That's my take, yes. I'm inclined to give her a break.
But I know she could switch back "to the dark side," particularly if her personal financial situation would benefit by doing so.
Lorenz is a certified maniac, period. To me, she’s the ultimate “Karen.”
What's behind? Conservatives snickering a lot.
Whats behind it?
People under the age of 50 have no interest or idea what a newspaper or a magazine is.
Go anywhere, to a store, a Walmart, a doctors waiting room and everyone is staring into a Smart Phone getting what ever news or latest hot video from whom ever and it’s all in real time. No one reads newspapers anymore. Print media is a dead man walking.
They also spent billions of electrons outright lying.
Once the media lies, there is no trust that could be gained.
Good interview. I think both did well. How on earth did FoxNews let her go?
So many woke people think they can ignore the Laws of Supply and Demand. Keep thinking that as your company collapses on itself.
