Sen. John Fetterman, D-Penn., lobbied for securing the U.S. southern border, telling CNN on Friday that 300,000 illegal immigrants attempting to enter the country are blocking legal migrants from their "American dream."
Fetterman spoke to CNN’s "The Lead" anchor Jake Tapper about the current migrant crisis, claiming the wave is making our immigration system "difficult." Though he noted he’s a huge proponent of legal migration, he demanded a "secure border" and questioned why his progressive critics have a problem with that.

Did Fetterman just plug the democrats by saying 300,000? Latest report I saw said the number of illegal invaders since Jobama’s time in the WH is over 7 million.
Maybe he can guess the coming Trump-nado in his state and wants to be reelected inthe future.

Fetterman using the Pennsylvania playbook. Pennsylvania, aside from Philly and Pittsburgh and a few other pockets, is a largely conservative state. They vote Democrat, but culturally they are conservative. Politicians in PA act conservative on a few key issues, namely 2A, defense, and in limited cases pro-life, while generally supporting all the batshit crazy things Democrats support. Casey has perfected this, Rendell as well, although he never served at the Federal level. You’ll see it also with US representatives. Connor Lamb perfected this, Cartwright as well.
Dems want a “populist” on their side to counter Trump’s popularity. He’s basically the liberal elite’s idea of a Trump voter: a braindead slob.
Let’s see if he ever votes with Republicans on anything important. So far it’s all talk.
The problem is not that "illegal" immigrants are blocking "legal" immigrants. The problem is too many immigrants.
He’s still an idiot. The number has to be at least 15 to 20 million or more because something like 9 million invaded just last year.
Fetterman is coming across as a conservative Republican.

pity GOP can’t stick to an accurate figure, whether it’s 7m in 3 years, minus x number sent back, plus getaways.
until official figures are used, it makes all claims seem like partisan propaganda.

The Republicans have a huge number of Senators & House members who are puppets of certain financial interests predominantly located in NYC & London. Financial interests that want to keep the current Asia centric trade position and an unlimited amount of cheap immigrant labor streaming into North America.(Add in climate hysteria because it= Big Money Opportunities, as well.)
It’s worked for 40 to 50 years, it’s all they know. They’ll continue to “double down” until an economic disaster or World War eventually takes hold.
Then all bets are off. Who knows where we’ll end up?
