That’s the only option the guy really had to remain a viable political player.

As if Pence actually cared about hurting Donald Trump on January 6th, or thereafter. Why would he run for President in 2024, if it wasn’t to hurt Trump’s chances? Not that any honest, patriotic person would ever vote for him. This is just another version of the ever-changing story of Judas Pence. Still trying to save his sorry, traitorous, political career. He sounds like Hillary Clinton, continually coming up with a new excuse as to why she lost in 2016.

Reckless is subjective. Is Pence risk adverse?
Subjective risk (or “recklessness”) for Pence might be some action as simple as 3 prunes at bedtime.

He did it. He presided over the certification of the biggest election fraud in U.S. history, and everyone knew it was stolen. Having a RINO preside over the Senate was better theater for propaganda then having the Dem. President Pro Tempore do it, so Judas Pence obliged the Deep State in the charade. From now on, a person who didn't something shameful won't say, "My name is Mudd". Now, that person will say, "My name is Pence."

Liar. Forget about it, you will not get a spot in a future Trump admin and you will not get a single vote in 2028. You made your bed, lie in it. Why not, you lie everywhere else.

What is it about the Republican Party that allows Pences and Romneys in? That’s like trying to heat the house when the windows and doors are left open.

And he does it all wrapped in religiosity. If Pence is an example of who will occupy Heaven, I’ll take my chances elsewhere.

Pence’s hour was at that crucial moment, and in it, he failed in his duty, his loyalty, and indeed, he failed the nation. He was given the golden opportunity to prove why, in four years’ time, he should be considered for the presidency, and he blew it.

If Pence would’ve not shown up, he wouldn’t be the hated person he is today.
He made a very poor decision, that ended his political career nationally.

Can you imagine sharing the White House with Mike Pence for four long years? Oh well, I guess they get their own residence. I'd have made him ambassador to Kyrhzykstan and told him those responsibilities pre-empt being VP, after finding out how duped I was with him.
In other news, in 2024, Trump has the following vice presidential candidates;

Pence, 64, disclosed his eleventh-hour concerns about presiding over the peaceful transfer of power... Presidential powers didn't actually get transferred to Joe Biden until January 20th.

Pence was exactly the wrong man needed for that job. What was needed was someone with giant brass balls, not a simpering eunuch.

No seriously, he was poorly-advised that 'people will move on from President Trump' by Swamp gits (and some of his idiot homers), which is why he was the first to drop out, because he was the first to recognize the Swamp gits were...

Jack Smith is allowed to leak anything and everything he can and there is absolutely no way to stop him from doing so.
