Former President Trump says he’d consider Tucker Carlson as a potential running mate in 2024.
“I like Tucker a lot; I guess I would,” Trump said during an appearance on “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” this week. “I think I’d say I would, because he’s got great common sense.”
“You know, when they say that you guys are conservative, or I’m conservative — it’s not that we’re conservative, we have common sense. We want to have safe borders. We want to have a wall, because walls work,” he said.

I like Trump/DeSantis.
I'd like to see Desantis/Haley or similar as acting head of DOJ

Reagan was GOVERNOR OF CA, when he ran for president.
Tucker is a media figure with no history of making decisions.
Only thing I like about Tucker is he is not part of DC swamp. I prefer an outsider, just like Trump.

Reagan didn’t act when it came to politics.
He actually said he did. Among other things, he asked how you could be in politics and NOT be an actor? However, there is a difference, and I will quote Peggy Noonan before she went stale: "Was he acting? Certainly. But he was always playing Ronald Reagan."
I can live with that.

Kristi Noem is the odds-on favorite.
The VP candidate will always have to be someone with a tight leash from the GOP.

Tucker just says what he thinks makes him the most money.

God, help Trump find the right VP for this critical time in America, in Jesus name, Amen.

Great prayer, Jim. The problem for Trump is finding someone he has not already insulted, finding someone with name recognition, and finding someone who won’t betray him like Pence did.

Mistake. Tucker belongs as press secretary. Harken back to Rumsfeld taking on the press. That was memorable and well received on our side.

It would be more interesting to hear Trump list the people he would NEVER consider for the VP slot.

Good Lord. If you have any interest in seeing DeSantis and Haley in a Trump administration, you haven’t been paying attention.
You might as well recommend Lizard Cheney for Secretary of Defense.

"Trump’s VP will be the frontrunner for President in 2028. I presumptively don’t trust a woman there for a lot of reasons for which many here at FR would like to take my head off."I can actually see Gov Sarah Huckabee Sanders for that job.

“He’s an actor.”
He is not one to be trusted. His resume contains being a CNN commentator from 2000 to 2005 and a co-host of the network’s prime-time news debate program Crossfire from 2001 to 2005. From 2005 to 2008, he hosted the nightly program Tucker on MSNBC. In 2009, he became a political analyst for Fox News, appearing on various programs before launching his own show. He was also hired to helm a new program for PBS in November 2003, “Tucker Carlson: Unfiltered,” which ran concurrently with Carlson’s Crossfire gig on CNN.
And this is a guy voters want to handle conservative issues when he can’t be trusted to do so? I think not.
