A driver tried to crash through the exit gates of a South Carolina nuclear plant Thursday night about an hour after security asked the same car to leave when it tried to enter, authorities said.
A pop-up security barrier stopped the car with an Arkansas license plate at the Oconee Nuclear Station near Seneca around 8 p.m., Oconee County Sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Watt said in a statement.
The driver backed up and tried to drive down a dirt road as Duke Energy security tried to block him in. The driver tried to hit the guards, then drove through a fence and off the nuclear plant property, Watt said.

Perhaps the piece of fence draped over the front of the car alerted the homeowner that something was not right.

Black Swan attempt?
Have to see what his problem was.
In the United States, acts targeting nuclear facilities are considered acts of domestic terrorism and can lead to charges under various federal terrorism statutes, including the USA PATRIOT Act and the Homeland Security Act.
He is going to Gitmo or the SuperMax.
“acts of domestic terrorism”
Nah, everybody in this administration knows that the only “domestic terrorism” is by ultra-MAGAs, people at Catholic church, people at school board meetings, and all non-POCs in the military.
Now kids, Jimmy will explain what Nuclear Fusion means for YOU!
Looks like an ordinary psychotic making a suicide run. It was not a well-planned attack on the facility.
Not enough information about him at present to make further assessments.
That is just how things go in the hall of mirrors.

Or to the White house as bidens next national security advisor.
If he proudly proclaim his non binary status and steal woman’s luggage at the airport, the plant will be forced to hire him as a fuel disposal expert.
He needed a pop-up blocker.
How about an editor to fix the title and contents? Lots of confusion about what did or did not occur.
You hear that, don't you folks. So...pay your electric bill or Duke Energy will come knocking.
Before my wife retired as a manager at PG&E, sometimes she had to go to Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant in California. She said the security there is intense, on the road in and the guards inside the plant. As she walked the corridors she had to stay inside painted lines on the floor, while security guards with long guns were watching from above walkways. You cross over the painted lines, you would be in trouble. A nuclear power plant needs highest security.
No, just your garden variety anti-nuke ecomentalist whackjob.
A snicker-story...
I have learned more and more about the emf released by the new “smart” meters, so I bought a Faraday cage for it. I remove it two days before the meter reading date and replace it two days afterward. Well, lo and behold, my meter stopped working, no longer has the digital display and the power company needs to replace it, sending me notices for five months in the mail saying they can’t read it. I ignored the letters until it was time to remove again last week when I noticed the lack of LCD display and called them. They’re supposed to call me to schedule the replacement. I haven’t received a power bill in two months, so I thought it was finally time to call. I’m not certain if it simply failed, or the Faraday cage fried it. Haha.
No loss of power to the house and they say they’ve been estimating my bill based on last year usage.
Now I wonder how they will adjust the bill based on real usage if the meter is fried. I’ll probably be over charged, considering the AC has been off for the cooler weather.
Oh well.
When the new meter arrives?
YEP! BACK goes the Ferrari cage =o)
...just an anecdotal story.
Where was Alex Murdaugh? This is something he would do.
I’ve got a smart meter. They just came out and changed it one day...no asking, no warning. I didn’t know it put out RMF. (Maybe that’s what’s wrong with my neighbor on that side if the house.)
Seriously...I’m going to consider a Faraday cage.
Wow...there’s a whole industry out there selling shields. Also watched a video about creating your own shield using tinfoil and window screening. Bares further investigation. Thanks!
