Field, the commanding general of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and Eastern Recruiting Region, presents the “Honorary Marine” title to Jack Lowe, a Flowery Branch native, during a ceremony at the Lowe family residence on November 1, 2023. Lowe was honored for his unwavering dedication and his remarkable resilience in the face of adversity through his ongoing fight with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. NOPE.

October was below average and extrapolated out 2023 is headed for five inches LESS than than the previous "all time driest" year of 2016...and about 18 inches less than my 27 year average.

Creeks are holding their own, the well hasn't gone dry, but I'm not waiting for the water to warm before I step into the shower.

Just came in from tweaking the well house heater again, trying to find that sweet spot. Still keeping it warmer in there than it needs to.
It’s going to be colder tonight than last night. It’s already several degrees colder now than it was this time last night. At least the wind isn’t blowing.
