He told the calltaker he was on his way to the shop, but he'd learned one of his employees was the person who fired a gun.
"Do you know who shot him?" the calltaker asked.
"My worker," said the man. "He was protecting himself, the guy broke in the store."
Braun said officers are working to determine whether the shooting was connected to a separate crime committed Friday morning, but he did not say what that crime may have been or where it happened.
On Friday night, a 20-year-old woman was shot in the same shopping complex. Police said earlier in the evening a vigil was being held for Johnson. An argument started during the vigil and ultimately led to the second shooting, police said.
Depends on the shop and more importantly the state...

I think I know what sort of community we’re dealing with here.
The story reads as if the dead sixteen year old and the attempted break-in are two separate instances with one having nothing to do with the other.
That is intentional.
Race riots for ‘erryone’!
Exactly.
There's an amazing video on youtube (unless they've recently taken it down) of a young guy who was obviously obsessed with his ex girlfriend and goes to her house at something like 10AM. He rings the bell and you hear the mother say "she doesn't want to talk to you,Bill". He then starts trying to force his way in. You hear a man's voice (her Dad) say "get off the porch". He continues his attempt to force the door open. You then hear the Dad say "I've got a gun". A second or two later he succeeds in forcing the door open and you hear three loud bangs and see three puffs of smoke. Then you see the kid immediately turn around and stumble away.
He was dead seconds later.
No charges filed against the Dad.
Saw that video. Prime example of FAFO.
Just one example of "Thou Shalt Not Attempt To Break In".
Actually Delhi is not bad, they have their own Twsp Police department and are fairly vigilant with enforcement. Delhi borders an area called Price Hill, lower, East & West. The westside of Cincinnati, shall we say has been in transition the last few years. Afforadble housing and too many apartment buildings make this area prime for out of state landlords. Add to that Hamilton county has gone deep blue. The lone Republican on council was just quoted bashing her party as one she no longer recognizes.I assume she’s not a Trump vater.
How else he phosed to get his money?
“Somebody broke in the store and somebody got shot,”
I love a happy ending!...................
Did the family leave town? I know there was a lot of acrimony on the part of the “victim’s “ family....”Justice for _____”.
Brother of Travis. Charged in shooting of woman at the vigil.
Smoking will kill you.
another future brain surgeon just looking for food for his family?
Certainly he was just getting his life together.
I saw the entire video of that incident, without the edited jump cuts. I think it was the girls family who for whatever reasons posted the entire video on the internet where it got millions of views before they took it down.
The unedited video shows two of the neighbors ambling on to the property, behaving and walking around like out of state tourist sightseers at a museum or whatever tourist trap, looking at the exhibits. Asking stupid questions, go up to the boyfriends dead body as if they’re cops or official medical examiners, and also went up to the ex-boyfriends car. They even opened the car door and poked around the inside of the car.
I swear, I wanted the family to stop answering his dumb questions and yell at them to get the hell off the property. Moron neighbors.
It’s good this didn’t happen on a school night./s

I don’t know why people insist on using abbrvs when they could spell out the words so easily and then the reader would not have to stop and figure out what the abbrv means. It breaks the flow of the thought process and if you care that people read your comment don’t use abbrvs. Personally I won’t read past b/c or w/ and in this case twsp or whatever word was used to save four keystrokes out of a comment that was over 500 keystrokes.
