Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) doubled down Friday on her criticism of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), saying if he becomes Speaker, Republicans will lose control of the House in the next election — and rightly so.
“If Rs nominate Jordan to be Speaker, they will be abandoning the Constitution. They’ll lose the House majority and they’ll deserve to,” Cheney wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

I'm good with it, its not like they were doing anything productive before they deposed him. It will expose the GOP for the fake party they really are.

Sorry but I’m a little old school. Alternative ideas don’t intimidate me. I want the other side to be heard but I want us to yell back. More importantly I want people, especially the youngsters, to hear us yelling back.

Great observation...I have also noted conservatives, at times, speak to each other in the same fashion Rats often speak to Pubs. True conservatives are rugged individualists by nature. Trying to unify conservatives, it has been noted, is often reminiscent of herding cats.

Some of this is focused on some Republicans and Democrats opening discussions on a compromise Speaker elected by a coalition of “ centrist” Democrats and Republicans trying to “overcome the extremist elements on both sides” to select a “ centrist” Speaker “ for the good of the country” .
Some trial balloons suggest that this gaining momentum
Hopefully Jim Jordan can overcome this but there are some Republicans who are really opposed to stance on investigating Biden, The DOJ and especially the Jan 6 persecutions which they participated in.
Jordan may have to agree to neuter the various investigations in order to win the Speaker ship
I wonder if she really does not realize that almost no one cares what she thinks.

That alone should be iron clad proof to everybody that Jim Jordan would be a good choice. If a RINO like Cheney is against him, he must not be a RINO who is in the Deep State’s pocket. Notice how she had no complaints about the previous speakers.

It’s almost certain that the GOP will lose the House in 2024 due to Democrats court wins and other reasons. So it makes sense for the RINOs to leave a token conservative holding the bag when they go down.
