The Russians constantly and wrongly accuse Ukraine of being a Nazi nation. From the start, President Vladimir Putin has tried to justify his brutal war as a battle against Nazism.
And here was Zelenskyy, the victim of Canadian blundering, applauding a soldier who fought for the Nazis. Putin could hardly be more delighted...
The episode raises so many ugly memories and associations. That’s surely why the Liberals wanted to expunge Rota’s words from the record — a rare parliamentary measure.
This is typical of their attitude to history under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. It’s a political commodity to be massaged and shaped for their own reasons...
Rota is a sophisticated man who speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish. Impressive, but all the more reason why he should have been aware of his North Bay constituent’s record.
Giving special recognition to anybody from his riding was a cheesy political move, no matter what the person’s quality. This was a national and international event, not an occasion for local vote hunting...
A Zelenskyy visit comes with heavy security concerns, obviously. All guests for the speech would or should have been screened for both security and personal background.
If the PMO knew the name, and didn’t do the work, that makes the mistake potentially dangerous, and even more devastating for the government....

Is Canada still sovereign?
must be, Russia still wants to invade us
Nobody bothered to vet this guy?..................
They like to think so. In reality they are America’s Toupee.
Close. Touque, not Toupee.
I wasn’t joking when I first started referring to Canada as a Nazi country.
Didn’t Elvis sing about this “Hunka” guy?
“Hunka Hunka burning love”
Canada is not and has never been a sovereign nation. Canada, like Australia and other commonwealths of the Crown, has a governor general who represents the King.
https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/crown-canada/governor-general.html
The following are among the responsibilities of Canada's governor general, all of which are undertaken in the name of the King:
-representing Canada abroad
-signing treaties and declarations of war
-The governor general is also Commander-in-Chief of Canada.
The governor general has important parliamentary responsibilities:
-summoning, proroguing and dissolving Parliament (yes, the Crown can dissolve the Canadian Parliament)
-giving Royal Assent, which brings parliamentary bills into law (nothing becomes law in Canada if the Crown doesn't give assent to it)
The governor general is also the Commander-in-Chief of Canada. (The Crown determines where, when, and against whom the Canadian military is deployed).
There's nothing sovereign in any of that.
Ukraine is a Nazi nation. Thats where the Nazis and SS fled to after fall of Berlin
The King of Canada is Canada’s Sovereign.
Is the United Kingdom Sovereign?

Didn’t considerable numbers of them flee to Germanic enclaves in Argentina as well?
“The Russians constantly and wrongly accuse Ukraine of being a Nazi nation.”
Well, I guess that settles it then, right? I’m pretty sure they are Nazis. There has been plenty of information to that effect, but that may not be the worst. It seems to be the globohomo headquarters, bribery source for the Bidens, human trafficking hub, etc, etc.
Honest question; how many other Nazis are living in Canada?
So is Canada. That’s where numerous Ukrainian former Nazi supporters fled to after WWII. The family of Christia Freeland is a well known example.
The mistake this Parliament speaker made is that he got caught. Probably thought no one would catch on.
I was told last night he was one of the good Nazis :)
I posited that the zeeper had sold his 1944 Yaroslav Hunka Schütze 2 card just before it exploded in price, and was writhing in rage about that...
Yes and the Vatican was most helpful in that endeavor. Most went to Patagonia (most notable was Adolf Eichman and Josef Mengele, the latter fleeing Buenos Aires for Paraguay after hearing of Eichman’s capture). Many Argentinians believe that Hitler himself did not die in Germany but rather, lived out his years in Patagonia. There is even an abandoned compound the locals will tell you belonged to Hitler. There is a movie you can view in its entirety on YouTube called Grey Wolf. It's entertaining and somewhat thought provoking. Grey Wolf
The Vatican generally has been helpful with people trying to relocate. I imagine they relocated far more Jews than Germans, and in relocating Germans, most were not Nazis, and the Nazis probably were not generally identifying as Nazis.
