California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said Tuesday that parents who want to be notified by schools if their children want to change genders have been “ginned up” by misinformation produced by Republicans and conservative news outlets.
The Newsom administration is currently suing the school district of Chino Valley in Riverside, California, over its new policy of parental notification, claiming that it violates the rights of transgender minors to “out” them to their parents.
Newsom was asked about the issue Tuesday in a live forum by Politico‘s California bureau chief, Christopher Cadelago.
We’re winning.
Instead of answering @ccadelago’s question on parental notification, @GavinNewsom blames the other side for informing parents of what’s happening in schools.

Minors don’t have any right to privacy from their parents. Parents do not need to acquire a search warrant to search their child’s room, or belongings, or papers, or electronic devices.
I know this because I had that fact tanned into my hide when I tried vainly to assert such a right to my father :)
Most parents are busy and do not want to have to baby sit the schools.
Unfortunately they can either home school their kids (best option imho) or spend lots of time monitoring the schools to make sure the groomer and pervert teachers and administrators are not running wild.

I’m the parent of one. My child is part of the .001% who are trans due to an incurable defect of the endocrine system.
Not everyone is born XX or XY. A tiny percentage of the population is born XXY, XYY, X and malformed/partial X, etc.
Not all, but some, suffer from gender dysphoria. In the past, they were regarded with sympathy and compassion and were treated to mitigate their symptoms.
But now that the media is pushing this rare disorder like Oprah giving away cars, everyone can get one. Forget mitigation, let’s transition! Got the hurt feelz? Sure, you’re trans, too! No underlying rare medical condition? No problem, you’re trans because you say you are.
It’s completely antithetical to actual medical science, the latest perversion of reality...just like the “safe and effective” jabs.
Ten years ago, when my husband and I started down this road looking for a cure, I did not fear for my child. But these sickos pushing extremist ideas and approving all sorts of horrors now pose an existential risk to my child.
Stupid parents just don’t see the wisdom in sterilizing their kids and cutting off their breasts and genitals to affirm their belief that they are a different sex than they actually are when they have body dysmorphia.
Next thing you know parents will refuse to starve their kids to affirm their belief that they are fat when they have anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa.

No. Newsome has things backwards. It is he, the California state legislture and some schools and school districts who are employing misinformation about transgender kids to make laws and policies that serve, not medical science, but merely an activist political narrative about transgenderism.
That narrative does not want kids saved from transgenderism and wants to preclude kids coming out of any gender dysphoria obsession, by blocking kids natural puberty with the artricial application of hormones to do that, and thereby any correction of the kids thinking that acheiving their natural biological sexual maturity may serve.
To Newsom and the rest of his misinformed fellow travelers, gender dysphoria is a given and cannot be overcome. They are 100% wrong.
During puberty, most teens are clinically insane.
So, I am exaggerating a bit, but the fact is that the sudden rush of hormones in puberty causes a lot of stress and confusion in kids. Many will believe whatever stupidity is shoved down their throats as a way of fitting in.
Another inconvenient fact is that most children who identify as the opposite sex simply grow out of it. Others decide that they are gay.
Now they are all being told that if only they get sterilized and have their breasts and genitals cut off then all of their dreams will come true!
