Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) urged former President Trump and his supporters not to interfere with the legal process as it plays out in Georgia following Monday night’s indictment.
“As a nation built on the rule of law, we urge Mr. Trump, his supporters, and his critics to allow the legal process to proceed without outside interference,” the top Democrats in Congress wrote in a joint statement issued late Monday.
Their request comes after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) announced the fourth indictment against Trump since April. The 19 co-defendants face charges related to a conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

Note to “Top” Democrats: FOAD!
They can all go to HELL!
Their day is coming.
“Do not interfere with the legal process. We all know Trump is guilty. “
Schumer still a snake.
Sorry for triple post. I’m on my phone with a very slow wi-fi.
“Unless some Judge of stature stands up and stops this, the Judiciary will be irreparably harmed.”
There is the matter of the ability to get “zealous” legal representation which is under the control of the state bar association.
“ I guarantee you, if Trump goes down, there’ll never be another Republican in the WH again.”
Let me correct your statement:
I guarantee you, there’ll never be another Republican in the WH again.
There, fixed it.
Democrats - don’t interfere with the legal proceedings against Bidet and his bag man.
I almost have to respect the chutzpah.
If it really were a “legal” system, you wouldn’t even have to ask us not to interfere. Go to Hades. You have sown the wind…..
Democrats have now fully weaponized the justice system.
Under current Georgia law, the Georgia Governor does not have the power to pardon Trump or any of the others who were indicted by the democrat DA unless they are first convicted and five years pass after completion of their sentences.
The Georgia Governor (Brian Kemp) is a Republican and Republicans control both houses of the Georgia General Assembly. It seems to me that they should be looking at changing the law to give the Governor full pardon power, regardless of how they feel about Trump. Otherwise, they can look forward to far left-wing democrat DAs indicting every Republican that they want to get rid of.
Yeah, that’s what I just said.
THERE WASN'T ONE!!!
Dear FReepers, please do not use the term "Democrats" anymore.. THEY ARE COMMUNISTS WHO NEED TO BE CALLED WHAT THEY ARE! Let's call them what they are!!!
They are effectively misusing the legal process, so we should just let a broken system run it’s course?
I’ve said it so many times it should be a bumper-sticker... “F*ck you Chuck”.
We are not abtifa, but we are tax paying, concerned and involved citizens!
Yep.
They want you to “lie back and take it”.
The Rats wasted no time to issue a statement (while they proceed to interfere with the 2024 presidential election).
Meanwhile, not a peep from the Republican “leadership”. Not a single thing. It just shows you what they think of their base. /spit
There needs to be direct physical repercussions for this abuse of the legal system.
Fuck you, fuck your rules. This is not “our democracy” this is your democracy, I have no say.
