Over a third of the population of the UK are not aware that so-called “transgender women” are in fact biological males, as campaigners accuse the LGBT movement and the legacy media of adopting “intentionally” confusing lingo to muddy the debate around transgenderism.
A survey conducted by the policy analysis firm Murray Blackburn Mackenzie (MBM) found that 35 per cent of Britons incorrectly believe a “transgender woman” was someone who was born as a biological woman or were unclear about what the term meant. The poll went on to find that there was even more confusion over the term “trans woman”, with 40 per cent of the public unable to correctly define the term.
The MBM survey found that there were disparities in understanding among different age groups, yet interestingly, it was the 25-34 age group that was most confused about the issue, with just 55 per cent being able to correctly state that a transgender woman was born as a man. Their younger cohort, from 18-24, showed a better understanding of the terminology, however, it was the elder generation, those above 55, that understood the terms the best, with 62 per cent being able to define “trans woman” and 70 per cent....
Indeed, the BBC has previously come under criticism last year for failing to relay to its audience that an American serial killer was in fact a biological male, and was forced into editing an article to reflect that the transgender killer was not born as a woman as the original article had implied...

Gender used to be a language term. Only place I’ve ever seen it, prior to last decade, was in junior high French class. Dr John Money popularized using gender for sex after his first sex change surgery, a total failure, as child did not accept his sex change. Money maintained it succeeded, and thereby we use gender in place of sex. I’m guessing Money used gender instead of sex as some part of his brain knew sex changes were impossible.

When the trans nonsense first came out, I was a little confused as well until I figured out that trans = fake in newspeak.
But is a transgender woman a man trying to be a woman or a woman trying to be a man? Until the pollster portrayed this confusion as ignorance one was allowed to be unclear as to which direction the term swings. I guess I now know.
When one must put an adjective in front of a noun, the noun is thereby clarified or altered.
In spite of all the "many genders" and "spectrum of genders" word games, it is interesting that females who don't like their sexual organs want plastic surgery to mimic males, which is fake and sterilizing in the process, and equally interesting that males who don't like their sexual organs want plastic surgery to mimic females, which is fake and sterilizing in the process.
All binary games, and no "non-binary" and no "spectrum of genders." Just two real sexes, and two "fake" and sterile pretenses. So all that media messaging and political claptrap and influencing means only confusion,
It’s about the terminology. This means that Britons don’t know what the term “transgender women” means. That is not the same thing as not being aware that “transgender women” are “biological” males.
The term “transgender women” is unclear. It doesn’t tell you anything about the reality that words are supposed to signify. Since it contains the word “women” someone might think that it means something about a woman. It does not.
The left has won the language war. It invents words and succeeds very well in imposing them on the rest of the world.
Only two words are necessary: females and males. Men and women. All the adjectives used with them cannot change the reality. There are two and only two. There is no middle ground between the two.
I am aware of that trick, but I still get confused at times. I guess it just amazes me that everyone is willing to go along with the charade.
Are they confusing trannies with bisexual or even tomboy?
Because if the think trannies are just tomboys and the probably don’t see what the big deal is with a chick just wanting to perhaps simplify her life by keeping her hair short, not wearing make-up and wearing flannel shirts, then imagine what their response to transgenders will be when they find out what is really going on.
Maybe one third of Brits are simply too disgusted to have anything at all to do with trannies. Don’t want to learn about them. Don’t care.
How’s that for (mal)educated ignorance?

No way. The survey contacted 2,000 people and not enough to make a conclusion. The Telegraph and Breitbart should stop pushing the trans and fake garbage.
