I can’t believe a railroad locomotive manufacturer, Tesla or any vehicle manufacturer hasn’t jumped all over a product diversification market that also bypasses the emissions standards with questionable legalese doubletalk, copy the structure of a railroad locomotive.
A small diesel (or gasoline) engine drives a generator that supplies electricity to the electric motors of the drive train. Install a bank of high capacity capacitors to permit high, instant current for acceleration would be to only change.
No lithium batteries. Regular lead acid to start the deiseal engine to drive the generator(s). If the diesel powered generator isn’t running, you don’t drive.
Unmatched torque in electric motors.
Then get copyright logo use permission from Union Pacific, BNSF and other railroad companies to use their logo as that “edition” (purely a sales pitch to males)
I’d buy a truck like that in a heartbeat if it was reasonably priced.
Manifestly untrue.
In other words, upon closer examination, consumers are not really interested in EVs.
Batteries wear down, even when not in use. The longer these sit, the price should come down accordingly from wear and tear.
Intelligent people donโt want that crap!
EVโs lose Ford and GM about 40k per vehicle. So theyโre propped up by the government. Just sitting without a buyer is 100k +/-.
EVs can be a good choice for urban/suburban folk who only need a car to commute to work or run errands around town. In that use case, an EV can make a lot of sense. For me, this would be a great second car as I could use my ICE vehicle for longer trips and for inclement weather.
Also, an EV can be a great car for a wife, as she won't have to worry about oil changes or having to drive to a gas station where she has to pump her own gas.
So I don't disdain EVs. I just don't like the government pushing them on us for no good reason.
If it makes sense for you, go ahead and buy one. That's what I say.
I see a lot of Teslas out there. Not so many of the other ones.
EV are just another attempt to restrict our freedoms.
Watch for a growing number of car manufacturers to start up in RED States and let the imbeciles in the BLUE state wallow in their own stupidity.
You mean people don’t want a potentially ticking time bomb parked in their garwhike they’re sleeping?

Excellent ๐๐๐
Who wants an electric pickup truck?
Skunkers for evs.
Joe the Joker
they’re still wary about purchasing one because of reliability concerns, lack of trained mechanics, the batteries blow up real good, lack of charges, are crap when it gets cold outside, repair costs for minor fender benders, absence of charges, price of quick recharge price, oh, and the cost to get into one is prohibitive.
Does this mean that there is an undeclared boycott going on, people prefer ICE cars over electrics, or that they are just too expensive?
The battery pack costs over $30k to replace. And who is going to buy a used one in five years?
The people who needed EVs for ‘social acceptance’ and to be able to hold their noses up at others, claiming that ONLY they care about saving the planet aren’t that many, after all.
Now EVs have to sell to the general public, most of which cannot afford to have extra cars lying around to show off to their friends at social gatherings, but instead simply want ONE VEHICLE capable of taking them from Point A to Point B, reliably, with Point B sometimes being quite far.
But, but, but...more charging infrastructure is planned and coming!
Money that could (should) be used to repair the highways.
Pot-holes or Charging Stations.
Consumer demand is not a factor, Big Three production is based on the union contracts.
Here are some videos about how China lies and how many of these white elephants are being built. Total trash.

EVs in the US and not enough buyers? Well, EVs and China also has not enough buyers.

As one watches the "lawmakers" here as in Europe mandate EVs, one may be sure that the unintended consequences, already seen, will magnify greatly. Electric grids worldwide are not handling the relatively small number of EVs, as the "zero carbon" politicians try to crush hydrocarbon production and use. This predicts economic disaster, while the increasing subsidies will have to come from -- ta-da! -- taxpayers.
As with the military-industrial complex, we now face a pharmaceutical-industrial complex and an "zero emissions" industrial complex as well. Pay up. The few who are profiting need our money! And lots of it!
