Batteries wear down, even when not in use. The longer these sit, the price should come down accordingly from wear and tear.

If the gave me a Tesla as a gift, I would use it as a mobile DJ setup and take it to kids parties.

Couple of years ago, I did the Audi E-vehicle test-drive....nice SUV. Afterwards, the wife and I asked questions. The battery thing came up. So, as he explained...around the 6th to 7th year....you’d have to replace the batteries. It was a simple designed process (about half-a-day to pull the ‘stack’ out and replace. What he couldn’t tell me was the cost of disposal (they’d yet to have a replacement to occur). I thought this was odd....had to be a disposal fee. Never bought the vehicle.

Last year, the wife and I checked out the Mini e-car. Same story. Batteries will need to be replaced. Cost on this already established (in the range of 2,000 Euro or $2,400). But again, I asked about a disposal fee and they couldn’t say.

Personally, I think the charge business will double in nature after x-number of charges.

One key thing that does seem to be interesting....e-cars have half the number of parts. I’m of the belief that as you buy such a vehicle....this is probably a 15 to 18 year purchase.
