MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Thursday on “José Díaz-Balart Reports” that the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action programs for college admissions was a “dagger in our backs.”
Sharpton said, “Well, I think that this is tantamount to sticking a dagger in our back because what they have said now is that it is unconstitutional to even consider race. And given the racial history of the country, let’s not act like blacks are behind because there’s something in our genes that made us behind. It was against the law for us to even read and write until 160 years ago. We were enslaved for 246 years. So it is to completely throw to the wind the history of why we needed affirmative action in the first place.”
He continued, “So now you have a right-wing Trump court, let’s not forget Trump nominated a third of the sitting court, nine members, three of which Trump put on there, that is saying well, we’ll protect the voting rights on Thursday, Friday and Monday and then we’re going to pull the rug from under you.”

No more post turtles?
Too much to ask for or expect.
unSharp-one must hate the words of Martin Luther King Jr
So sez Amerika’s 3rd-most favorite Jew Hater. Obama wins by a nose, followed by Jimmah and then the most holy and righteous Reverend bringing up the rear, in more ways than seven.
Bet his next comments will include a noose
Guys like me don’t stick knives into people like Sharpton.
But guys like Sharpton do stick knives into people like me.
He proves it will never end.
Pay your taxes, Al.
“It was against the law for us to even read and write until 160 years ago”
Lol! Some folks need time to catch up? Why that is?
My kids adopted abroad learned a new language and to read and write in English in 3 months
So says the supreme race baiting political ambulance chaser of all time.
Thomas Sowell has written extensively about the failure rate of minorities who were given a boost to get into Ivy League schools. Basically they get in, but they can’t keep up and wash out.
I don't know if it's in your genes or not, Mr. Sharpton. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's inherent to your degraded and perverse CULTURE ... And that's something of your own creation that only YOU can fix. Leave Whitey out of it.
The common factor in all your unsatisfactory relationships, Mr. Sharpton, is YOU. Fix yourselves.
Any community that does not police itself will be policed ... and they won't like it. Police yourselves, Mr. Sharpton.
Sharpton: “Once again, an all-white Supreme Court sticks a knife into the backs of all blacks in America!”
Notso Sharpton current on his taxes?
Yeah, Al, buddy, it was 160 years ago.
That's the point. Sandra Day O'Conner in her opinion in 2003 wrote that, in effect, we'll allow racial discrimination in favor of blacks and by implication against whites and asians for now but it can't go on forever and in 25 years we won't allow it anymore. Implying that blacks needed to get it together and they had one final generation to take advantage of their advantage and pull it together or live with the consequences.
It has to stop sometime. Blacks had their chance at special treatment to address past wrongs. They, as a group, and with very many honorable exceptions, blew it.
Stop the whining already.
As we used to say in the Navy, get your sh*# it one sock and turn to.
Because this ship is now haze gray and underway and anybody not already on board will be left at port.
As it should be. Individuals who won't live up to certain minimal standards should be allowed to fail. The same applies to entire groups.
I have zero sympathy.
MSNBC struck a gold mine when it hired “Rev.” Sharpton.
Oh, really? Then explain why asian IQ’s are higher than caucasion IQ’s and caucasion IQ’s are higher than black IQ’s? (All of that is on average) BWT, it’s not education. If people could increase their IQ’s through education there would be educational products sold all over place to do exactly that. They’re not.
Dagger in the back?!?
No no Al, this was a dagger right in the heart, face on.
