White House accused of US Flag Code violation over Pride Month display

President Joe Biden's administration is receiving backlash online over its Pride Month display at the White House on Sunday as many Twitter users are saying it violates the U.S. Flag Code.

Biden celebrated the LGBT community in a post Saturday, revealing a set of flags hanging from the White House that faced the South Lawn. The display includes a rainbow-colored Pride flag flanked by two American flags.

Twitter users argue the display violates a section of the U.S. Flag Code that mandates the American flag be in the center of any display featuring multiple national flags or pennants.

Most of Biden’s Team probably had no idea there were any regulations on displaying the flag at all. Those who did know, took a delight in violating the rules.

Decades late for people, especially around here, to pretend that they care about flag code, flags, or what they mean.

Flag code has been a mockery of this country and those who served under it for a long time. No inanimate object should be given special “respect” when it cant do its duty in times of minor adversity that we all expect those sentient defenders to bravely endure.

I know this is going to get someone worked up claiming that “I fought for that flag!” Let me say it first, either youre a liar or you are an absolute moron to fight for a towel. Thanks for putting your life on the line with the best of intention but you werent supposed to actually be fighting over towels but the things that that towel represents.

Can’t vouch for the accuracy, but I did see a meme today for, I think Easter Sunday and Memorial day...nothing. Could be worse, last year the guy in charge of Canada said that one month is too short, pride should be celebrated year round.

I think it may have been in the Boy Scout Handbook or a pamphlet on flag laws where I first learned of the many rules-—which I’m sure are rejected by the current crop of people.

Here’s one rule:
“You can bury a flag in the ground in a well-constructed container to keep it protected. In the US Flag Code, it states the cloth should not come in contact with the ground or dirt. Fold it properly and place it in the box. Take a moment of silence or respectfully say a few words as you bury the box.” Fairfax County website.
Now they must ponder “should a BLM flag be to the left or right of a lesbian pride flag or a rainbow flag?”

I noticed not long ago that a few of my Leftist neighbors (by the tens of thousands) flew a pink striped flag. Must have been out of date.
