Howdy, Kathy.

Yes, I survived yesterday’s mowing and am recuperating from today’s, which was quite a bit more. The bum back’s in pretty good shape and sitting tonight should keep it that way. A good time for watching more of the “D-Day 24 Hours” videos, which are very good.

I noticed earlier that it’s another dreary day up there. If it’s going to be that cloudy, it NEEDS to dump some good rainfall.

My yard cleanup guys came today, so now I’m starting to water the back. Every time I go out to move the sprinkler, another 25 raindrops fall.

I emailed on Monday just to make sure they didn’t forget me...they were supposed to be here 2 weeks ago...and, boy o boy, did I have a crop of dandelions over a foot tall.

She wrote back that she wasn’t sure how I got missed, but I did. But they came today and the yards look pretty good. I forgot to check the sticker bushes up close before I started the sprinkler, but I will later tonight. I think the main one may be gone. I know I cut a lot of branches off of it and poured a bunch of deterrent on it, so hoping that is helping.. I will still work on the new ones I found on the creek bank and try to cut them down a bit at a time.

Were you able to sleep a little later this morning?

Hey there, radu!

I sure was able to sleep later this morning, and I’ve felt better all day even though it was much warmer today. Gonna get much hotter over the next few days, though. Ugh

Is the smoke still stifling there? I hope it doesn’t get as bad as it is farther north of you.
