Be careful what you wish for.

This is war, Jim. And we didn’t start it. They did. The woke corporations hate us and everything we stand for.

They must be destroyed.

Utterly.

Hmmm, Seems to me the demonrats have already set the ground rules. willful Failure to follow the prescribed rules can never lead to a victory for the Americans in this war against the demonrats.

Disney started this war against Florida and DeSantis.

In general, no, a Republican form of government should not try to hurt a corporate entity.

But when said corporate entity picks this fight with the government of the state, opposing duly passed laws , and vowing to go to court to overturn such duly passed laws, then the government involved should take on that corporate entity.

Disney is a far cry from being destroyed. As a cultural powerhouse that markets primarily to impressionable children, it is in a unique position to peddle to them the idea that if they feel vaguely unhappy, maybe they should try the gay lifestyle, or even render themselves sterile. To lobby against the popular will - of parents aghast at this propagandization - to urge that schools preach the gay lifestyle or tell pubescent teenagers that a sex change is the cure for their moodiness - that’s crossing the line.

Should a republican government BE ABLE TO LEGALLY attack and try to destroy a corporation based on political differences?

Not America's Federal Government which is ONLY authorized to operate under the LIMITED and DELEGATED powers that are ENUMERATED in the U.S. Constitution (mostly Article I, Section 8).

As I've said so often, the greatest threat to our freedoms, happiness, and wellbeing is the $3+ trillion unconstitutional portion of the feds which now operates as a totalitarian government.

I don’t like the idea of weaponized government by any side. Although I do support an organic uprising of boycotts by consumers, and or a corporation held to a standard when it would otherwise be working outside of the norms.

Be careful what you wish for.

Yes, they should have been careful what they wished for.

They wanted the government to give them a whole bunch of favors and show favoritism to them. And it did because they were mostly doing good stuff.

Then they decided to promote perverted sex to little children and the people who vote for the government got just a bit ticked off. They are putting pressure on the government to withdraw their favoritism.

Just the way it goes.

Maybe they should not have gone asking for those favors.

Moral of the story, do not get in bed with the government.

You might catch something nasty.

Seems to me the left already does so. With glee. Assuming one can find a business that isn’t already deep Leftist. They are pursuing gun businesses. Requiring car makers to go green - and produce unrealistically high gas mileage cars (hence tiny SUVs) - by law or by Biden fiat. They are using executive decisions to try to squeeze mining and ranchers out west.

Even Trump had no problems issuing rules preventing evictions, etc.

In this liberal Arizona county, good luck getting business permits if you are too conservative - or openly support conservative causes. Our 30 member church tried to replace our home-model stove and were told replacing it would require buying a $40,000 air cleaning hood meant for commercial restaurants - fortunately found a guy who could repair it. We only used it a half-dozen times a year. And any expansion of one of our rooms would require a retrofit for a handicap bathroom (estimate was $150,000). That would only have been about $25,000 per family!

Being screwed by government for being Christian or conservative is nearly universal. How could they make it any worse for us?

Republicans paved the way for corporations to succeed with decades and decades of favorable tax legislation. If Frankenstein is now loose in our village, take it down.

Yes. Yes, they should. When we have Democrats in charge that have attacked and destroyed most all aspects of American life; politically, socially, educationally, morally, and economically. And a government that has set in place corporations like Disney, then by all means; we need to go on the offense and reclaim America.

Any government - any nation - that sits back and allows corporations like Disney and Bud light to groom our children - well that nation should go under.

Call it a political attack, if you will. But by any and all means necessary - DO IT!

Bud Light was just a dumb marketing move. Advertising is about associating brands with cool people or positive experiences. Mulvaney is not cool, and the idea of a hot and sweaty session with what was thought to be a her, only to discover a him is probably on the list of memorable experiences people wish they could forget. But that’s as far as it goes - people are free to decide what beer they want to buy.

Under 18’s have poor judgment because their brains aren’t fully developed. They aren’t allowed to have sex, vote, buy alcohol, cigarettes and a host of other things. The idea that teachers should be allowed to preach to a captive student audience in public schools life-altering behaviors like gay sex and irreversible hormonal and surgical treatments that render them sterile on Disney’s say-so is simply horrific.

Should a corporation join with a fascist government to destroy our country?

I think DeSantis might have taken things too far so that seems to be like personal vendetta of his. There were better ways of handling things with Disney. Like them or not Disney is an important economic vehicle for Florida. Personally I think DeSantis mainly did this stuff in such a public way to establish his conservative bona fides with the base. But I’m a Trump supporter so I may be a little biased in my take of things.
