Yuengling has launched limited-edition red, white and blue cans to support veterans in a timely marketing move that positions the brand to scoop up Bud Light’s ex-customer base.
In a statement released Wednesday, the Pennsylvania-based brewer announced the release of the patriotic can “with military nonprofit Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) as part of the brewery’s Stars & Stripes program” to honor the nation’s heroes.
The cans, boasting a desert camouflaged print and Team RWB logo, made their debut on Yuengling’s Instagram page. “Our summer fit is back. Rock the Stars & Stripes with us,” the caption read.

So what they’re saying is calling your consumers trans-phobic bigots isn’t a good strategy? Crazy.
I’m surprised there’s a lot of people who think “Yuengling” is a Chinese name/brand - its not.
Yuengling is an Anglicized version of Jüngling, its founder’s surname and the German term for a “young person” or “youngster.”
Good beer....................
Saw a Yuengling tractor trailer in my Missouri college town for the first time last week.
Nature abhors a vacuum.
Search skills lacking, he is. Give him a Youngling beer, I will.
I will continue to look for it at the Mariano’s that I frequent
It’s a opportunity for a lot of beers.

My family name is “Young”. When my German Great-Great Grandparents came to America, their name was “Jung”. They, like many immigrants of that era, wanted to assimilate into this new American life and “be more American”. They changed their name from Jung to Young.

I have family in Pennsylvania. I’ve been a fan of Yuengling Black and Tan for 40+ years.
Here is another article on Bud’s horrible, no-good, awful decision followed by an even more awful, no-good, very bad month.

“No matter what your personal view is on celebrity endorsements, there’s no denying that their support can significantly boost the visibility of a product. That is the point after all in getting a well-known figure for some promotional activities.
But what happens when the chosen celebrity happens to be the wrong fit? Well, Anheuser-Busch can tell you all about that. The Bud Light-owner decided to run a promotional push for the beer by bringing on board transgender ‘influencer’ Dylan Mulvaney, who counts over 10 million followers on TikTok. Mulvaney advertised Bud Light on her feed – and a backlash duly ensued.
Turns out the conservative crowd were unhappy with that choice and evidently there are a lot of conservative Bud Light fans. Calls for a campaign to boycott the drink/company did the job, and in April, Anheuser-Busch volumes fell by over 12% with Bud Light posting what Beer Business Daily has described as a ‘shocking deterioration’ of 21.4%.
Meanwhile, competitors have been reaping the rewards of the conservative ire. Rivals Molson Coors and Constellation notched respective growth of 7.6% and 3.8% during the same period.”
BUD is down 2.63% as of this post.
