Nonsense - for the entire period from January to the first week of March every media outlet thought that Ukraine would last a few days to a week
When Ukraine - on their own - kicked the Russians out of Kyiv and won the battle of Hostomel, then the world thought "they have a chance" -- and now we see that the Russian "bear" is actually an old chow-chow with few teeth
Who’s been more correct about the trends of this conflict? The US and NATO propaganda organs or the Russians?
By far the Russians have been correct many more times than the West.

shows me the Russians have now taken about 5/8 to 2/3rds of Bakhmut. The fall of this city is very close.
I can see why the Ukes are ready to give up. Once this city falls as well as Avdiivka(it’s almost completely surrounded) and the mud dries out a Russian offensive will commence.

And, keep in mind that Zelensky has sent tens of thousands of his men to die in Bakhmut, desperately trying to hang on to it, and it only been fighting the WAGNER group on the ground, not the regular Russian military.

The Russians are taking inches a day - over 8 months. In that same time, the Russians lost thousands of square miles to the east of Kharkiv and they also lost Kherson.

Why would he want to fight a series of bloody wars when Russia already has a declining population? Why would anyone think younger Russians, who are already complaining about mandatory military service, tolerate that? Why would he risk doing that and losing the ability to sell oil to Germany through the Nord 2 pipeline.

The Russians may view this as a version of Verdun. Bleed the enemy dry in a battle of attrition. Just don’t lose too many friendlies in exchange.
