Even far-left ABC News admits that electric vehicle owners face a “logistical nightmare” when it comes to everyday use, not to mention long drives.
A piece written by Morgan Korn tries to make it sound as though His Fraudulency Joe Biden is some sort of savior with his goal of “installing 500,000 new chargers across the U.S. and dramatically boosting EV sales by 2030,” but that’s not going to solve a lot of the problems. In fact, while critical of the current situation for electric vehicles, this article fails to mention all the “logistical nightmares” electric vehicle owners face.
Korn writes:
YouTube personality Steve Hammes leased a Hyundai Kona Electric sport utility vehicle for his 17-year-old daughter Maddie for three reasons: it was affordable, practical and allowed Maddie to put her cash toward college, not fuel. Now, the upstate New York resident has a dilemma many EV owners can relate to: finding available charging stations far away from home.
“We’re going through the planning process of how easily Maddie can get from Albany to Gettysburg [College] and where she can charge the car,” Hammes told ABC News. “It makes me a little nervous. We want fast chargers that take 30 to 40 minutes — it would not make sense to sit at a Level 2 charger for hours. There isn’t a good software tool that helps EV owners plan their trips.

Again, like so many other things, this was known for a long time but the sane people of the Western world are no longer listened to.
0-60 in 5 seconds. 0 to 1,000 miles in 3 or 4 DAYS....
Sure there is! It's called YOUR BRAIN!.....................
Is electricity free?
I am not at all sure how cost-effective these things really are.
Many of those’chargers will be easily tampered with in outlying areas.
I have driven over 1 million miles with PAPER maps-—NO GPS of any kind.
Sounds like my dad.
If ABC News thinks it’s rough now - wait til Biden and dems push to outlaw internal combustion cars...
Tesla owners are “meeting up” socially at WaWa convenience stores where they have six or eight parking spots in a row with charging stations. They have to be there for a while, so many as well chat/shoot the breeze, no?
electric vehicles are a dead-end
ridestheretromiles
I can only imagine what the Buc-ee’s here in Texas will look like once they add all of the charging stations. At least you can go in and shop while it’s charging.
Consider if you will...the MSM starts to get behind the lunacy of Electric Vehicles and the destruction of the fuels industries and by that mechanism, the destruction of our nation.
The Deep State does not like it and refuses to go quietly into that good night. They retaliate with threats, violence and arrests of the journalists and publishers who are fomenting dissent from the Party line.
The media decide to not be cowed or extorted. We The People get behind the efforts of the media and start storming locations where government agency sycophants and employees congregate. It would be the swelling of a movement whereby we could take our country back. The only option left to the Regime would be to start killing people en masse.
Hey...I can dream can’t I?
There may be charging stations on the map but one thing it does not tell you is it it operable or not occupied. Who did not see this coming? The people who are pushing this nightmare on the public need be exterminated starting with the heads of the car companies.
The actual source of the “logistical nightmare” quote:
Quiroga’s sister, who lives in Northern California, takes her internal combustion car — not her Tesla Model S — when she needs to drive across the state. Even Quiroga’s team of reporters has to carefully plan and calculate how far EV charging stations are when they conduct comparison tests among manufacturers.
“These comparisons tests are a logistical nightmare. We plan meals around recharging the vehicles,” he said. “We need to have the battery at 100% or close to it to test a vehicle’s performance. We have to time everything — it requires more work.”
So the “logistical nightmare” is caused by making sure all battery-performance comparisons start at 100% full.
put a rail alongside the road and let the teslas run a feed to it...
just tell hitchhikers to avoid it in the rain...
A hurricane in Florida knocks out all of the power and everyone with an EV is stuck.
