Billionaire Elon Musk Sunday accused the media of being racist against whites and Asians after U.S. newspapers dropped a white comic strip author who made derogatory comments about Black Americans.
The Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post and USA Today were among newspapers that canceled the cartoon "Dilbert" after its creator Scott Adams said Black Americans were a hate group and posted racist comments on his YouTube channel Wednesday.
In replies to tweets about the controversy, the Tesla and Twitter chief executive said the media had long been racist against non-white people but are now "racist against whites & Asians."
"Maybe they can try not being racist," Musk tweeted.

If an African-American like Musk is making this point, people should sit up and pay attention.
Glad to see this
You can hear blacks going off about whites every day. Speak any truth about black culture and you’re racist. Adams was correct.
Note that Scott did not say all BA’s were racist. He noted that a major, reliable Rasmussen? survey reported that 47% of BA respondents did not agree with the statement: “It’s OK to be White.” He concluded that 47% is therefore a hate group that does not believe it is OK to be white. (If you think that the BA statement is not a racist hate remark, try blogging it with the races reversed.)
He said whites should stay away from the 47%.
I think Scott is weary of Dilberting and is retiring with a bang. Wouldn’t be surprised if he re-markets the office crew with an inventive new method for people who don’t want to see the strip cancelled. SA, as one of our peeps suggests, is stirring the pot, not calling the kettle black.
Blacks are the most racist people in America.
blacks are not even close to being the most racist group.
Being a manufacturing Dept. Manager / Supervisor for 25+ years, believe me I saw my share of mazy loron's.
The media — and the left — are absolutely responsible for any racism in this country today. Their constant scab-picking and siloing of people by race, color, sex, gender, and status is tearing people apart and Balkanizing our population.
Martin Luther King would be rolling in his grave of how his message of “content of character” has been trampled upon...
Absolutely 100% spot on.
“Speak any truth about black culture and you’re racist. Adams was correct.”
Not what he said- Adams just took the results of the survey where the majority said it’s not OK to be white.
He then claimed, in his satirical and counter-punch way, that because of THAT claim, THAT group was racist. And with a 50 year history of fighting racism, he would not support that group in the survey.
And then warned others to stay away from those racists.
Clever, witty, and effective.
Target - Flak
From a sometimes fan of Mr Adams -
Asians in my circle of friends are incredibly hands-off of other races, including Caucasians. I am relatively close to an Asian friend and have gotten to know his extended family, but my wife and I about about the limit of any non-Asian amongst them. We have literally been the only non-Asians at several of their functions.
For that matter, we were also about the only non-Indians at a large Indian family celebration, which we got dressed up to attend, and had a fine time at it.
I love people for who they are and I get along with all races, but I fully realize the cloistered ways so many can be, and am thankful for windows into the lives of others. Still, I know these cultures, combined with their own physical differences from race, keep them feeling, I believe, not accepted.
The closer truth might be that religion and culture necessitates a sort of distance from each other, but it is voluntary, for the most part, from both sides. This further translates into marriage partners, and more.
I will say that my wife had me in stitches when she told me her Vietnamese female friend at work always talked like she had a ghetto accent and she saw herself as black, complete with the need for black-centered bling, including her purse. She literally saw herself as black, but her skin is whiter than my quite white skin (Many Asian women tend to not get sun or have much exposed skin, minimizing damage). I had a similar experience, minus the black race connotations, with a coworker, who insisted he was “not-white,” when his skin was also lighter white than mine, and I put my arm against his and said, “I think you mean, ‘not Causasian.’”
Since the exact statement “It’s OK to be white,” has been demonized in the press as a hate statement, only 26% of African-Americans disagreeing is actually surprising. If the statement were cast in a different way, such as “Being white does not necessarily make a person bad,” the number would probably only be about 8-10%. So Adams allowed himself to be antagonized by a poll likely crafted in the first place to be antagonizing and divisive.
Yep. See Tagline.
Specifically what comments Newsmax?
From what I saw he said some significant part of the Black community has been deliberately cultured to be trigged by white Americans (or even just America), and reject values seen as "white" (like timeliness, delayed gratification, education, and the protestant work ethic--according to the Smithsonian).
You cannot listen to Progressive Black ACTIVISTS, POLITICIANS & ENTERTAINERS without that take away. They are incentivized financially and in terms of political influence to agitate Black Americans into seeing themselves as perpetual victims. They want to keep the community ANGRY and kept apart from the promise of America for their personal power and profit. Division is their goal. They want segregation, apartheid, even genocide. They feed off the discord and want Blacks to turn on each other while distracting them with a blame game.
Newsmax claims Scott Adams "said Black Americans were a hate group and posted racist comments"
From what I saw, he wasn't casting an entire ethnicity as a "hate group" but reacting to the community leaders and a rage culture that devours their own and blames non-Black Americans for crime, poverty, addictions, etc. He expressed his personal truth in being frustrated with his own lifetime of outreach and support that ends in accusations of racism: If you are an ally you are smeared as a racist colonial white savior, if you leave them alone then you don't care because of racism. The activists have created a toxic cultural divide that helps only them. Some Americans are looking at the situation and feeling damned if they do, damned if they don't and walk away for their own peace of mind and well being.
Where's Newsmax's journalistic integrity in providing details, analysis and context? Or CNNs or other outlets and papers who have cancelled Dilbert. Adams clearly doesn't care if it gets canceled in newsprint which is a dying industry anyway.
Was Adams wrong to compare his situation to other media Big Lies like the Covington Catholic "racism" or Charlottesville Trump comments taken out of context stories? I don't know the full breadth of what he said but some some long clips and his own reaction to the cancellations.
I miss Dilbert. No longer shows up on the Bing splash page.
If an African-American like Musk is making this point, people should sit up and pay attention.
