The top lawmakers on the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee called out Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg during a Thursday hearing on the Southwest Airlines meltdown.
Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), the committee’s chairwoman, said that the Department of Transportation (DOT) isn’t doing enough to crack down on poor airline service.
“This sector needs a more effective policeman on the beat. They need someone over at the Department of Transportation who is going to get the job done,” Cantwell said in her opening remarks.
Buttigieg has come under fire from some Democrats and consumer advocates who say that he hasn’t been tough enough on airlines that overbook flights, pointing out that the DOT hasn’t fined any of the major carriers for persistent delays and cancellations.
Under Buttigieg, the department has rolled out stronger rules for airline refunds, but critics say they don’t go far enough.

Once again, here we are. The government creates this problem with forcing vaccinations, forcing mask wearing, etc to the point that pilots and workers either quit or were not healthy enough to work. Then they state they need more government to fix the problem.

Look at these idiots! What qualifications in education and experience do they bring to the table with them? What institutional knowledge do they have specific to the organization they are tasked to lead? In some cases, ZERO.

This man was purely chosen for this job because he either likes it in the rear, or puts it in the rear, but there were no other qualifications, period! Most soldiers spouses were more qualified to be in his position.
On a personal note, I get that most of these people are so driven and status oriented that they will take these positions even if they are not qualified let alone the best qualified, but I would be personally embarrassed to be in such a position. Society has changed and I suppose most people do not think like this anymore, but it would be humiliating to me knowing that the ONLY reason I am in a position is because of some sexual practice (i.e. demographic consideration).
Imagine having people brief and report to you, under your authority who you are rating that have 20, 30 or more years experience, education specific to that field, who have had 5 or more different roles they filled in their career in that organization and all you can talk about in earnest is what a rim job is. Butt face is one of those, he’s worthless like most of them are, and the best he can do is give motivational speeches within the organization and represent his organization well to the public, but the guy failed at that too.
Most of these quota or the right demographic folks are worthless! WORTHLESS!
But here is the sad and dangerous thing: the decisions they make do have consequences.
