Seven suspects were arrested both in Israeli and Palestinian authority territory.

The Israel Police stated: "The police are continuing an accelerated investigation of the rape in Gedera, in which they have extended the suspect's arrest, along with continuing to examine the findings sampled at the scene and outside. In addition, means of documentation seized by the Israel Defense Forces detectives are being examined, with the aim of examining the suspect's movements in the city, before committing The serious offense".

The police say that they are checking all directions of the investigation and do not rule out the possibility that the rape was committed on a nationalistic rather than criminal basis. Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir demanded from the police to verify whether the shocking rape was indeed carried out on a nationalistic basis or not. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a strongly condemning statement and expressed his shock at the serious incident.

If it was not rape on a nationalistic-religious background, that Arab would have gone and carried out his plot on one of the girls of the outpost village and not on a Jewess in the fence. Every murder hurts and murder on a national-religious background even more so. The same goes for murder.
