Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) described the Second Amendment as a “suicide pact” in the wake of Saturday’s Monterey Park dance hall attack and made clear he and California lawmakers will continue to work on passing more gun control.
Newsom told CBS News, “The Second Amendment’s becoming a suicide pact, it feels like.”
He then pivoted and said, “What about our kids, when they’re going to school, what more can we do?”

He needs to lead by example. Start by disarming his own security detail.
But, alas, because he lives in a nation with an archaic Second Amendment that has no place in the twenty-first century, he must be protected for all of our sakes.
But comrade, rest assured, that Leader Newsom will work tirelessly to repeal the Second Amendment or if that is impossible, appointing Justices to the Supreme Court who will correctly interpret the Second Amendment to assure that only the Government has the right to keep and bear arms. After all, the Government really is the People, isn’t it?

Just shows you how little understanding of freedom he has. In truth, the 2nd Amendment protects a large part of the world from being overrun by absolute tyrants.

I remember back in 1960s when the news media and lib politicians considered the most “evil” firearm to the the 5 or 6 shot .22 or .25 cal “Saturday Night Special” and ranted against them till they got foreign ones banned.

They then tried to get US made firearms banned if they were $45 in 1970. That would include the 5 shot Charter Arms revolver and the Mark II Ruger.
Keeping Democrats like boy wonder Newsom office is a slow national suicide guarantee.

I think revolvers are not considered semiautos. There are also single-shot handguns like the Thompson Contender and the Remington XP-100, both of which fire rifle cartridges.
