This one member motion to vacate is ridiculous. So one disgruntled member can tie up the whole House? Anyone not believe that Boebert or Gaetz will try it?

That rule was in place for at least 100 years before Nancy Pelosi reversed it, it’s not a crazy rule at all

I want Massie at the head of
Church Committee II and completely untroubled by anything else. Call it the Massie Committee, or Vatican III or Mashie Niblick 2023, but get it done and punch -- not down but
out -- the Deep State.

Nope
Ask Chamberlain about that “Peace In Our Time” thingy.
Words and a letter mean nothing.
They’ll change whatever they want and bring down the hammer as soon as it’s signed.
This last Young Gun needs to just go away.
Massie for Speaker!

Forget that. Forget this Kevin California guy.
GOP does not need any more Old White Liberal deep-state compromised leaders.
Seriously.

I could see AOC doing it every single day.

It’s been done once since 1910, in 2015. Boehner resigned instead of facing a vote.

Anything to do with legislation is DOA as he can’t pass anything since McConnell gave away the Senate and Biden sits in the White House. The idea of term limits is complete waste of time, raises money from fools but has zero chance of happening and is idiotic transfer of power to entrenched career workers in DC. What about border security, the wall and deportations. Silence on that is telling.

Absolutely agree. However, that was the first I saw that he is proposing three terms in the house (6 years). I'd actually be ok with it going to six terms in the house (12 years) which would be equivalent to two terms in the Senate.
Admittedly, since it is going nowhere, I haven't given it all that much thought.

I rather hope this changes nothing. After six rounds of failure and narrowly adverting a seventh round of the same, I rather hope the effort to keep that RINO out of the speakership succeeds in full. He's too damaged at this point to be allowed to continue the pursuit, in my opinion. When you have an opponent on the ropes, the humane thing to do is to finish him quickly.
