Anything to do with legislation is DOA as he can’t pass anything since McConnell gave away the Senate and Biden sits in the White House. The idea of term limits is complete waste of time, raises money from fools but has zero chance of happening and is idiotic transfer of power to entrenched career workers in DC. What about border security, the wall and deportations. Silence on that is telling.
The leverage they have with the House is to say NO to more spending and deficits until the Omnibus is cured and the USA government starts being fiscally responsible. If Biden/Senate refuse to cure the Omnibus and stop deficit spending then the House can simply say “no more federal spending from Oct 1, 2023 to January 2025; and time for the States to lead the way”. DC has become too corrupt. Having the federal level all shut off on spending and tax collecting for at least 15 months could give everyone a good reality check.
At this stage of the game it’s not about what they can pass, but what they can PREVENT from being passed. If all this House does over the next two years is prevent abominations like the recent omnibus bill from getting through, then they will have done their job. The problem is that Kevin McCarthy can’t be trusted because he is likely to cave to dems and RINOs, as he has in the past. THAT is why the holdouts are performing an important and necessary service in trying to at the very least nail down some solid commitments from McCarthy, if not replace him outright.
Preventing more "climate change infrastructure" or "Ukraine infrastructure" nonsense from becoming law is worth doing. Trading RINO pork barrel spending for Dem pork barrel spending is insane.
You just contradicted yourself.
1. you complain about legislation being DOA
2. you then immediately complain about border security, the wall, and deportations, all three of which require legislation — which you just said is DOA
which is it? The legislative way or the highway?
