The Hill predicts DeSantis will beat Trump for nomination

The Hill predicted Sunday that Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis will secure the 2024 GOP presidential nomination with former President Donald Trump as the runner-up contender.

DeSantis was picked as the top candidate for his double-digit reelection during the midterms and what The Hill calls "his embrace of culture war issues and his opposition to COVID-19–related lockdowns."

Explaining why Trump was ranked as the second most likely 2024 nominee, the outlet said: "Trump would have been the runaway favorite had these rankings been drawn up the day before the midterm elections. Since then, virtually everything the president has touched has turned bad."

Trump's controversial dinner with the rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and nationalist commentator Nick Fuentes, along with what it called a "lackluster" campaign launch are reasons why The Hill predicts the former president may not be the nominee again.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz is considered the third-most likely person to be the 2024 presidential nominee, according to The Hill.

Trump and DeSantis have both been considered top contenders in multiple polls, although DeSantis has not launched a formal presidential campaign.

December's Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll showed that nearly twice as many GOP voters would support Trump over DeSantis in the primary. However, a USA Today-Suffolk University poll released days earlier showed 56% of Republicans and Republican-leaning voters supported DeSantis compared to 33% who supported Trump.

I drive by rallies every week

Unfortunately, that's not how you win elections.

The swamp wants DeSantis?

Absolutely not, but it's a two-step strategy.

First, they use DeSantis to neutralize Trump in the primaries, then go after him in the general just as they did against Trump in 2016, but even more viciously.

Not sure I trust RD — yet. Too many of the wrong people support him.

Leftards at The sHill trying to pick who they’ll run against in ‘24.
NOTE how hard they DON’T want their opponent to be Trump.
TDS still dominates the leftmind.

So, class... what we learn from this is that the left (which includes Romney et. al.) remains UTTERLY TERRIFIED of a Trump resurgency, AND they are convinced it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE. Thus they become DeSantis’ most exuberant cheerleaders.

REJECT THEM MIGHTILY.

[The Hill predicted...]

almost as excellent as

“The View concluded...”

The Hill is pure TDS propaganda sowing division and confusion

That’s the real end-game here. They know exactly what they’re doing.

“Not sure I trust RD — yet. Too many of the wrong people support him.”

If some jerk supported you, should I not trust you. Cmon. Unless he asked for the support, he can’t control who supports him. Any evidence there is a quid pro quo?

It’s telling that the media are all passionate about sedan his running. It’s disappointing that so many “conservative” voters are taken in by the “anybody with an R by their name” idea. We need someone that fights the evil establishment. That’s Trump. DeSantis is a career politician. He might indeed be better than many others, but that’s not good enough.

No more Bush, McCain, Romney types. The fact that all the worst people hate and fear Trump should be a huge clue. He’s the only hope.

Your logic is perfect. Because someone supports someone and gives them money means that the someone is automatically disqualified. If I send you some money, will that eliminate you from Free Republic?

If your enemy, the Swamp (Globalists and GOP Establishment) wants to give you millions of dollars, from a matter of principal, do you accept the money?

How about from a matter of pragmatism? What will my enemy expect of me with this bribe?

I will crawl through broken glass to vote for Trump, but I wish he would admit that the experimental vaccines were a mistake.

They are going to hang the carnage around his neck if he doesn’t.

Wow, I could’ve written those same words.

Unlike another response you received, I do not believe they’ll ever hang the carnage of the vaccines on President Trump, because to do so will be their death knell. The China virus was used against him to give them emergency powers that were inevitably used to kill his momentum and ultimately remove him from office. Too much would come out in the sunshine, because of his popularity and wealth, if they tried to pin the carnage on him. He never forced anyone to take the gene serums. Unlike most of the fascist Democrats and RINOs and their corporations they aligned with to subjugate the populace, President Trump tried to do the right thing.

Hopefully you are not backing the Globalist / GOP Establishment bought and sold Desantis for 2024 POTUS?
DeSantis is no globalist. He is rational person who can govern and is a national conservative.

You are NOT the only one who will NOT vote for “SAINT RON”, if he ousts Trump in the primary. There are MILLIONS of us and all of those who say otherwise are complete idiots!
So you don't care for party or country. Trump is your deity.

So if Trump is not the nominee you would rather Biden continue to have his way with America rather than a Conservative in the driver’s seat. I wonder who’s the complete idiot.

So you’d rather see Biden stay in office if Trump loses the primary, rather than a Conservative? I’m starting to understand why some call Trump supporters a “cult”.

I’m starting to understand why some call DeSantis a phony conservative, establishment RINO, like the CIA Bush family.

I’ve been through with that for some time. DeSantis is obviously more of the same, just a different, younger flavor.

Put your money on Trump for the win
