Why the late George H.W. Bush is the most underrated great US president

3 “For the 28 years that he served as chancellor of Germany, Bismarck preserved what he had built by a restrained and wise diplomacy, which was the single most important element in maintaining the peace of Europe.” – Henry Kissinger Some people complain I never have a good word to say about the United States. That’s not quite true. I am sure if I dig deep enough, I can find a piece or two from a daily column that spans more than a decade where I said something nice. But today, I will change tracks: George H.W. Bush, the 41st US president. The more I read about him, the more it seems to me he has been the most underrated president of the last century. Sadly, that tends to be the fate of one-term presidents.

The first act the incompetent Carter did was to pardon the draft dodgers. As a riposte, the first act that Reagan did was to pardon investigators who exposed the antiwar bombers through the use of hard edged tools and praised VN veterans. GH Bush had to slurp up to his globalist friends and immediately turn on Reagan and his supporters by claiming in his Inaugural Address that there was a “statute of limitations” for the VN war, insidiously comparing our efforts there to a crime while his wife publicly put down Nancy Reagan. Never liked him, his wife or his brood and quite proud I voted for Perot in 1992. Watched “W” the other nite about his mediocre son who got us into a disastrous war over lying intel about Iraq.

Not sure how I can be the first person to do this. But has no one looked at the author? Alex Lo, has been writing articles for the South China Morning Post for “25 years”.

Hmmm, 25 years. Let’s take 2022 and subtract 25 years what do we get?

1997 and what happened in 1997? The C.C.P. Took control of Hong Kong which is where the South China Morning Post is based.

Alex Lo is a either a communist himself or a fellow traveler. Of course he is going to praise a Neocon like George Bush.

George Bush was US Ambassador to China, when the US started moving a lot of manufacturing to China.

GHWB practically defines the concept of who the “deep state” is.

Complete trash. Put in as veep to watch and restrain Reagan. Undermined Reagan all he could, tried to have him assassinated. Smuggled cocaine into Mena. The JFK assassination was probably planned in his living room and Babs served finger sandwiches and coffee. Nobody stopped talking when she walked in. He actually laid naked in a Skull and Bones coffin and talked about sex with a bunch of guys. His dad was a prominent nazi.

Other than that he was fine.

“read my lips” would have taken a back seat to “ slaughter sadaams troops on the Hiway of Death as they tried to surrender”

No, they were most assuredly NOT trying to surrender. Ask me how I know.

One of the biggest globalists in histoy.

/\

His grand dad

Prescott Bush

was buddy buddy financer of

Hitler , iirc.

.
The Patriot act was basically the Nazis Enabeling Act translated into English.

Probably why George Sr. went to war as a pilot in the Pacific and not in the European theatre imho.

A pox on all the bushes.

Reagan should have picked Phil Crane and would have still walked away with the election, however he was probably aware that Bush would probably have arranged his untimely demise in short order had he not chosen him

Never voted for that POS or his son

“He improved a little bit as President, especially after being head of the CIA while overseeing his agency’s assassination of JFK.”

John McCone was CIA director when Kennedy was assassinated. Bush wasn’t named CIA director until 1976. There is evidence he may have been an informant for the FBI around then.
GHWB did plenty enough that he can be bad-mouthed about without us tagging him with things he didn’t do.
