Okay, Jon Meacham, we're going to take up your invitation, and mock you, you shameless hack!
On today's Morning Joe, discussing Ukrainian President Zelensky's visit to D.C. today, Meacham said:
"I think President Biden has led with immense skill throughout this crisis. It's reminiscent of the senior President Bush during the first Gulf War, and then back to the great World War II leadership. And I say that without, people can mock that, perhaps, but David [Ignatius] can check me on it.

Ukraine’ crisis is Ukraine’ crisis.
Presidential Mistorian, more like it.
I don’t know who this is but he is a bald faced liar. Joey has merely paid his blackmailer.
It depends. If the goal was to dispense with ageing ordinance and refresh it with new defense contracts, then yes, Biden’s handling of Ukraine has been successful.
However, if you consider the unnecessary death and destruction visited upon the residents of Ukraine, then it’s been abject failure. Did the Ukrainian people ask to be part of this proxy war? Why couldn’t Russia, NATO and Ukrainian government follow Minsk agreement to resolve any disputes about territory?
Putin has already sacrificed over 100,000 young Russian men in an attempt to thwart the past and current US interference and corruption in Ukraine. Is it worth it?
What if we just let Russia supply Germany and Europe with cheap natural gas? It would have made the EU a bigger economic competitor to the US but is that worth brushing up against WWIII?
All of these machinations disgust me. It makes me question our two interventions in Iraq. And with the latest revelations of CIA/FBI gaslighting on social media, I’m even starting to wonder if I should give the 9/11 Truthers another listen.
I was a teenager in the 80’s. I missed SoD McNamara and the Vietnam era of government propaganda aimed at US citizens. Now in my 50’s I’ve become fully disgruntled. I love the USA and so do my adult children. But I’m tired of Orwellian overtones.
Consider yourself mocked, Jon.
Hey dipsh*t, Obama handed out more money to Iran than your boy Jo Jo has handed out to Zelenskyyyyyyyyyy and Obama doesn’t have any “immense skill” at all. You’re an idiot.
Bull crap. You won’t change my mind on this. You can’t even tangibly enumerate America’s interests. I don’t give a crap about Europe or Ukraine. Europe can provide their own defense and stop relying on the American taxpayers. This is just as bad as Wilson’s war. We had no business being involved in WWI either.
Right. About as well as he did in leaving Afghanistan.
Mock you? Pal just being you is insult enough.
Why do people like Meacham even exist? Is it to fulfill some sort of statistical requirement for a certain fraction of the population to be 30 standard deviations away from reality? I can’t think of any other reason other than someone paid him a lot of money to say something so stupid.
Jon Meacham: Mock Me, But Biden Has Handled Ukraine Crisis With ‘Immense Skill’
Substitute the word skill with “MONEY” And this wasn’t him either, as it was probably the ones pulling his strings.
You're talking about Biden, right?
Yeah, I don't think Biden has singled out Ukrainian churches here, I think any Christian church is under attack, especially if it doesn't toe the latest Leftist dogma to the letter.
Didn't I read where the Russian Orthodox Church blessed Putin's invasion of Ukraine?
So what's up with that?
What a putz
I’m talking about Zelenskyy
McGRegor presents a very one-sided negative view of Ukraine's situation.
He says Russians are winning and will win big time with a massive new offensive, once the ground freezes in Ukraine.
I suspect he has simply reversed that old song, "accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative".
The truth?
Maybe somewhere in between.
My late grandfather would agree with you, he hated that war.
But the truth is the U.S. supported our British & French allies from Day One, with massive loans and arms shipments.
So we were invested deeply in Allied victory, and when Germans began unrestricted U-Boat sinkings of our cargo ships, attempted to ally with Mexico to invade our Southern border (you may remember, we did use to have a border), and began preparing for a massive new offensive in France, Wilson flipped from anti-war to pro, and began working on a plan for "peace without victory".
Point is, we supported the Allies from the beginning and then went All In when it began to look like our team was losing.
SOBER UP
Ukraine is not an ally. Europe can handle this one on their own.
I know, it's tough when your country is being invaded, like ours is now, or was back in 1776.
Governments get real intolerant of political opposition.
You might remember, we tarred & feathered British Loyalists back in the day, and confiscated their lands to help pay for the Revolution.
Even today, with a massive invasion of our Southern border, the government cracks down on the free press, suppresses information, concocts narratives and enforces adherence to its dogma -- that's the U.S. government.
Now imagine if the invading forces were a heavily armed military, not just "mostly peaceful" migrants.
I'm only saying, things can and do get nasty when your country is invaded.
I'd cut Ukrainians some slack.
Our government? No.
