President Joe Biden spoke at the 10th Annual National Gun Control Vigil Wednesday night and assured attendees he is still pushing to “limit the number of bullets than can be in a cartridge.”
Biden said this after mentioning the gun control legislation he signed into law in mid-summer 2022.
After Biden mentioned his gun control legislation, he quickly added, “It’s still not enough,” and vigil attendees broke into applause.

When Ruth Bader Ginsburg died I bought a new flagpole and big American flag. I ran that flag as far up the pole as I could, because it was a great day for America.!
I really need to search about for a good way to celebrate when the twin commie rats, Biden And Obama are put in the dirt..
It's going to be a truly wonderful day for the US.! IF its still around.. At this point in time that's NOT looking like a good bet....

(From the News Source):" “Our work continues to limit the number of bullets that can be in a cartridge, type of weapons that can be purchased and sold,
attempt to ban ‘assault weapons,’ a whole range of things that are just commonsense.”
"Biden talked of how a federal “assault weapons” ban was in place once and suggested, “We can do it again.”
He then said, “Scripture says, ‘The light shines in darkness and the darkness have not overcome it.'
Biden then told the gun control vigil attendees that they are the light." ( I think he meant 'lite' in brain functions.)
See what you get when you get a leader who is more than just 'lite in his loafers' ?
He has no experience in firearms, and lacks any knowledge about the subject, but the crowd roars its approval, ignoring his intellectual ignorance.
Expect more of the same...

Will “Shotgun Joe” limit how many dimes we can load into a 12 gage shotgun shell?

Not sure what he's so worried about. We ALL just run around yelling, 'Pew-Pew-Pew' firing a few shots into the air off of our balconies when trouble comes to town!

Shotgun owners would be up in arms! No they wouldn’t. Shotgun ammunition consists of hulls, wads, shot or slugs, primer and powder. There are no bullets. The closest thing to a bullet would be a slug and you certainly don’t want two of those. Biden is an idiot when it comes to weapons and the 2nd Amendment.

My OT professor said he visited the spot and looked at the brook where David got his "ammo": He said that the stones were as large as your fist so he wasn't slinging pebbles!
https://www.biblicalwarfare.com/sling-weapon-in-ancient-warfare/
"A slinger would place a rock or other similar projectile in the pouch and pull the cords taught. The warrior would then spin the sling until he built enough momentum to release the missile. These missiles could travel up to 62 miles per hour (100 km per hour) and reach 1300 feet (400 meters) based on estimates.1 That would give a sling an advantage over the bow and arrow. Although making a sling and finding the missiles was rather easy, learning to use one effectively required extensive training and practice.
Expert sling throwers were incredibly accurate and could cause real damage when the projectile reached its target. The stone missile could cause blunt force trauma shattering bone and damaging organs, and could hit an opponent with sufficient force to kill him.
Hannibal Barca, one of the greatest commanders in military history, successfully used slingers against the Romans. In the Battle of Cannae in 216 BC, a Balearic slinger, one of the 2000 slingers employed by Hannibal, hit his mark. The Roman general Lucius Aemilius Paullus received a mortal wound from the sling missile. 2 He was one of over 55,000 Roman casualties during that battle. The Battle of Cannae was a disastrous defeat for the Romans and a testament to the effectiveness of slings in battle."

You've obviously done a lot of research into this weapon. Very interesting post!
(I bet that there were more than one "training & practice" accidents back then, where some poor slingers accidently clunked their own heads with their own projectiles.)
If only those Philistines and Romans could have learned about "sling control"!
:-)
To: Songcraft
Then there were the slingers that put a handful of large gravel in the leather pouch.

That almost sounds like their version of the "buckshot-sling". (Unless the large gravel chunks could be used like an automatic sling, where the slinger could mow down several different giants coming right at them, all with the same sling-load.)
