A majority of Americans support the idea of new stimulus checks to combat inflation, according to a poll conducted exclusively for Newsweek.
The survey found 63 percent of respondents said they agree—with 42 percent saying they "strongly agree"—when asked if the federal government should issue new stimulus checks to tackle inflation.

Alternate headline: Majority of Americans cannot understand how their bank accounts are overdrawn when they still have checks in their checkbooks.
“People are stupid.
Junkies asking for another fix.”

Majority of Americans Back New Stimulus Checks To Combat Inflation
^^This^^
This is why i am not worked up about this election. There’s a devil on my shoulder that keeps telling me to allow the ‘Progressives’ to feel the full brunt of their vote.
(Elections have consequences- Obama)
We’re far past fixing this. Change my mind.
Forget it. Money going to the Ukraine.
Looks like majority of Americans are the same folks who lobbied to have the Build Back Better spendfest changed to the Inflation Reduction Act. And I thought there was no one dumber than Krugman on this planet. Apparently, I was wrong
How about 100% of Americans want free money now?
WHERE MY STIMMY AT
Combating inflation by making it worse doesn't make a lot of sense.
People should be required to take a basic economics class before being allowed to vote.
Putin is not why we’re above $3 a gallon for gas. The people hurting aren’t at the bottom, they are middle class where wages compression means they aren’t keeping up with inflation unlike their entry level coworkers who have so much extra money with less debt they don’t necessarily even have the pressure of going to work to pay bills. Instead they are splurging, increasing demand that wouldn’t normally be there.
I would take an inflation stimulus check though. It’ll just be a refund on my tax bill.
