Poll: Republican Darren Bailey in Virtual Tie with Illinois Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker

Illinois Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey is within striking distance of Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D), according to a recent poll.

If the election were held today, Illinoisans would create a virtual tie between Pritzker and Bailey. Forty-seven percent of likely general election voters would pick the incumbent Democrat, while 44 percent would choose Bailey. Given the poll’s four percent margin of error, this makes the race a toss-up.

Democrats always seem to run Illinois. The little guys in the red areas rarely win at the state level, especially these days. It would be nice if Pritzker got voted out though!

It’s the same thing here in Minnesota. All the Dems are running on is the abortion issue. They’ve got nothing else. A few are running ads saying that they didn’t support defunding the police.

If Bailey does manage to squeak out a victory, he will be basically powerless with one noteworthy exception......THE VETO.

11/8 will offer an unprecedented opportunity to kick our more obnoxious elitists to the curb. Call ten friends and make sure they vote.

Same in NY. Hochul ads are abortion abortion though I have to say that they are well done. They highlight the infinitesimal number of life threstening conditions.

Pritzker and Beetlejuice are two of the worst elected officials in the country. Just dreadful. The good people of Illinois are the hostages of clueless idiots in Chicago.

In other words, Chicago and Springfield would vote for Prickster.

It’s great news but needs to be tempered with solid skepticism as a Republican Gov in Illinois Bailey would be virtually powerless unless the legislature is MASSIVELY overhauled, otherwise he will just be attacked from all sides

Yes, WOW! It would be huge — as huge as JB himself — if he were to be defeated!

Cook County results will come in after all the other counties have been counted and guess what.

There’s no reason Fat Boy Pritzker should win. Illinois is a disaster. I don’t even think the Chicago machine can help the Democrats this election cycle. they’ve left most cities in shambles.

Because that is ALL the left has to run on..they cant say “Well everything is awesome vote for us” they cant do that, so they are just talking about the ONE issue they worship more than anything in this world and that is the slaughtering of babies in the womb that is their holy grail

My hard-earned cynicism tells me that “virtual ties,” not to mention actual ties or even slight leads, in blue states are never worth much, given the dem ability to create votes on demand and to find isolated, observer free rooms to count them.

There are a couple races - like this one and New York - where the Republican was thought by everyone to have zero chance of winning. If polls like this hold up, we are going to see a Red Wave the size of 1994.

Democrats have been cheating in Chicago since Nixon & Kennedy. They have it down to an exact science. They make the Detroit and Philly 2020 scams look incompetent.

The only hope to win is to catch them off guard like Trump did Hillary in 2016. They were prepared. They thought no way could he win, so the infrastructure to cheat wasn’t there.
