Paul Gosar Calls Out NATO for Escalating Tensions in Ukraine
Big League Politics ^ | Oct 12, 2022 | Jose Nino

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is the kind of military alliance the Founding Fathers warned about.

Its entangling nature puts America at risk of entering potentially dangerous conflicts where no pressing national interest is at stake. Just look at the present Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Many policymakers in Washington believe that a Slav-on-Slav conflict thousands of miles away somehow involves a critical national interest. In reality, what guides the DC Swamp’s interest in this conflict is the desire to debilitate Russia and make it submit to the liberal hegemonic order.

DC is committed to this goal irrespective of the massive risks its entails. For one, there’s an increased chance of nuclear conflict between the West and Russia should the former start cranking up military aid and even sending conventional forces into Ukraine to stave off Russian advances.

There are very few elected officials in DC who are calling for deescalation in this conflict. For example, the entire Democratic Party (Yes, even the progressives) is down with the NATO agenda of cranking up tensions with Russia. It’s only a small grouping of Republicans who want to cool things down.

Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar is leading the charge in calling for restraint in Ukraine. He laid out his sentiments on the matter in a tweet he posted on October 12, 2022:

NATO Leadership refuses to offer any sort of off-ramp. They’re not even attempting to deescalate the situation between Ukraine and Russia, and the left slanders anyone who does (like Elon Musk).

We MUST reject nuclear war.

We MUST reject more unnecessary death and destruction.

Indeed, there are scant voices of reason when it comes to foreign policy these days. DC and the media industrial complex that spreads its message are on neoconservative/neoliberal interventionist time. It’s going to take individuals like Gosar to stand up to this pro-war uniparty and change foreign policy.

At this point, complacency only enables the interventionist predators in the DC Swamp. These people must face resistance for their destructive foreign policy moves.

We are now a bankrupt country. Whose brilliant idea it is to raise national debt more by tens of Billions to fight foreign wars? Daily interest paid to service the debt is now one Billion dollars every day of the year. Soon to go much higher with FED raising rates to fight inflation. Gotta be senile Biden+liberals+neocons’s idea.

In the meantime, the onslaught against Trump continues. In church today - I won’t say which mainstream liberal denomination it was but it’s currently splitting apart over in-house controversies - the very liberal Reverend managed to work Trump and his legal troubles into the Bible story of the persistent widow and the corrupt judge. A bit of a stretch. But it shows how the Democratic liberals are desperate to destroy a man’s reputation before the November election.

The issue here is that this affects other people, i.e. Russia and when you ignore what others say and want and just do whatever you want, and this includes cheating (Minsk agreement), backpedalling out of promises made (ballistic missile treaty), and lying about NATO East expansion, you end up with a war.

(1) NATO membership requires agreement by NATO. Germany and France have been opposing Ukraine's efforts since before 2014. Furthermore, with an ongoing conflict (the occupation of Crimea and the Donbass---soon to end by the way) that was then going on in 2014, membership would be impossible.

(2) Russia violated Minsk since Minsk requires the withdrawal of all armed forces on both sides. More than 30,000 Russian troops, heavy weapons and armor have been tracked by the OSCE, photographed, videoed, etc., coming and going into the Donbass since 2014. Russia, during this period, claimed it had NO forces in the Donbass, and therefore Ukraine was violating the Minsk agreements by not withdrawing their forces.

IOW, Russia wanted Ukraine to disarm so their forces could take more territory without resistance, while lying to the entire world about its military forces in the area.

(3) "Ballistic missiles treaty"-- Russia has systematically violated every treaty we have ever signed with them, including ballistic missiles. That is the reason why we pulled out of it, because by actually following the treaty we were damaging our own national security, while Russia had the benefit of a treaty they never obeyed.

This is a war where we are 100% responsible

The only sense the US "started the war" is in that Biden was a weak leader and Putin decided this was the time to strike.

Putin has already told us why he started the war: because he wants to get the USSR back together.

Too bad for him, the average Russian is still a corrupt retard. You can't have an empire if the quality of your people is so damn low. Can't run the world with the leftover trash of a failed Communist experiment.

Just ask Elon Musk who was “condemned” for proposing peace.

Elon Musk's "peace" plan was completely retarded. The fact you think it was viable implies that you also are retarded.

In what universe is Ukraine going to agree to giving up huge chunks of itself to Russia? And in what universe would Russia ever have a legitimate vote??

We didn’t “offer”.

We said, NATO article 10 applies. There’s an open door principle..but it is predicated on qualifications euphemistically called “NATO Standards” - in Ukraine’s case those are: Denazification, ending political corruption, cleaning up its financial system, and being at peace with Russia.

Saying yes to CONSIDERING a membership application is nowhere near the same thing as hitting a rubber stamp. How long has Bosnia been working toward NATO membership and still hasn’t got there?

The US has no vital national interest in Ukraine. Sending tens of billions of dollars there and depleting our arsenals to prop up the corrupt undemocratic Kiev regime is a giant scam. Both American politicians and Ukrainian politicians and oligarchs are lining their pockets and we increase the risk of a nuclear exchange with Russia - for what exactly? Its insanity.

None of it would have happened without the Globalist Deep State Neocons throwing not one but two coups, selecting which governments to put in place there, backing and arming neo Nazis there, etc. Ukraine has been the Deep State’s pet project for almost 20 years.

“Putin is insane”

He’s not any more insane than those, who are leading this nation/NATO, using this proxy war to annihilate a good portion of the world’s population followed by subjugation of the whole world to an amoral new world order.

“Ukrainians have hated Russia for over a hundred years”

Obviously many Ukrainians do not hate Russia. Regardless, that should have no bearing.

Ukraine is undeniably one of the most corrupt countries in the whole world and that’s exactly how the amoral globalists have focused their WWIII aspiration through Ukraine.

I have heard it all in our MSM before.

Sadly, practicaly nothing you wrote is accurate.

I would dissect what you wrote piece by piece, but that would be a huge waste of my time.

I realize that. Do you think cutting the Ukraine off will
stop that level of spending? The Democrats will find
another way to give that amount away. It’s their goal.

How much do you think another WW would cost us? Nipping
this in the bud is the goal, but it baffles me how many
FReepers rag on the Ukraine all day every day, and never
ask Russia to withdraw. Then they praise Putin and act
as if his is a really righteous cause.

I don’t think he ever expected to find so many willing
U. S. propagandists to join his cause.

I sure didn’t.

As a hard right fiscal conservative, I am against ALL spending which does not increase wealth or productivity in the country.

However comparing sending borrowed money to Ukraine versus spending borrowed money to pay for more food stamps, medicaid, rent subsidy etc, I prefer the borrowed money spent for Americans. I don’t like welfare spending, but it lesser evil than sending BORROWED money to most corrupt country in Europe where Hunter Biden was paid millions.

The items you mentioned will always be covered. Biden’s
open borders policy is costing us dearly. I’m telling
you Biden will find ways to spend an equal amount of
money he’s bankrolling the Ukraine with.

College tuition forgiveness...
Special programs for seniors...
Refugee relocation and sustainment programs...
Leaving tens of billions of equipment behind in other nations...

I still maintain that stopping Russia at the Ukraine was
better than waiting to stop him on Germany’s doorstep.

They didn’t hate the Tsar Romanov-not those Russians- those were the good old days when Ukrainian “rich peasants” whom Lenin and Stalin labeled them as ... kulaks. And then slaughtered them by starving them to death, stealing their seed grain and removing all of their farming implements and horses. Took very short time to take out 10 Million in the Holodomor.

It is THOSE Russians few surviving members of Ukraine’s old families cannot stand. The non-Orthodox, Communists— whom the Ukrainians hated and welcomed with relief the German Army (the Nazis) in WWII to do battle with them. Many of them were Don Cossacks, white Russians who fought Lenin and Stalin. The Cossacks were wiped out by the “Allies” including FDR & Churchill who OK’d Stalinists “accepting” hundreds of thousand detainees “back into” Soviet Russia to hang them or shoot them immediately. US and Brit soldiers have testified to what happened to them.
