Be that as it may he definitely won the debate by most reasonable people and now will win the seat
I deal with diabetics all day. Had a patient who two days after he had his second leg cut off from effects of diabetes, was sitting in his hospital room drinking the quart of orange soda his wife brought him.
That’s typical of what I see.
Not a thought in the world about what that’s doing to the insurance company.
Walker is acting like his doofus self. This is what he does. No one will listen to him on this. They’ll just use it during a hot political run But he’s not wrong.
Are we to presume you’d rather have warlock in the sinate?
He’s right, lots of people on insulin do not pay attention to their sugar levels.
I believe he meant reduce the cost of insulin, not reduce insulin, but both are good goals, likewise with reducing the cost of food so people can eat right. That’s a good combination.
He did better than expected according to early reviews. Changed position in several areas. Some gaffs, minor and not so minor. Plenty of time for him to screw up over the next few weeks but last night didn't hurt him much.
...and lose weight.
My best friend has diabetes...as did her mother and brother. Diet is a big thing.
Read my profile.
No you vote the person. Because the person is going to be in there voting on ALL the issues. And if the person is a insensitive idiot that doesn’t understand how diabetes works that stupidity on ALL the issues.
Wouldn’t it come down if the Type 2 people followed dietary and fitness protocols to get off of insulin?

A basic lesson on how this disease works should be required reading in Jr. High
Considering that costs to make ANY product flucuate all the time, it is NOT the business of the government to tell medical companies what the cost of their product should be.
The APPROVAL time frame for ANY medical item is long & arduous. That is the ONLY part the Government should have any part of.
Instead. the government keeps making rules about wages/salaries. A $22 an hour fast food worker causes burgers to be in the R$6-8 range-—where is the “equity” in all of this???
IF It costs me $ 60 a month to produce a month’s worth of insulin and you demand a retail cap of $35 a month-—I WILL QUIT MAKING INSULIN.
He sounds like my doctor. If you have the “lesser” diabetes you will get the “worst” version without proper diet.
Headline: ‘Herschel Walker Says People Worried About High Insulin Costs Should Just ‘Eat Right’
Quote: “I believe in reducing insulin but at the same time, you gotta eat right.”
A little bit deceptive...
“Oops, yeah, conflating Diabetes Type 1 and Diabetes Type 2 is common.”
Walker is acting like a dolt here. Ok. I’m not arguing his point at all. In fact it begs the question can’t we get some good people to run for office?
I deal with a lot of sick people. At least 80% are diabetic. I’ve seen maybe three cases of diabetes I in the past few years I don’t consider them part of the argument.
Well in that case your opinion matters none in this discussion. Canada has enough problems of its own.
in fairness to Walker, people like you did not see the full comment should Shhh!
