Absolutely astronomical figures in this InfoWars lawsuit out of Connecticut.

Alex Jones owes $229 million to just the first three plaintiffs, all family members of Sandy Hook victims.

There are nine more plaintiffs to go.

Even Jones gave up trying to add up damages: "We've lost count, it's in the billions."

Didn’t the judge open the case by saying Jones was guilty?

Alex Jones should adopt the OJ Simpson and Tawana Brawley method of paying restitution which is essentially don’t pay it.

The left is using him to create a strategy of using lawfare against anybody who disagrees with them.

Alex Jones is an easy target, but the real targets are you and I. Say something they don’t like, they will go after you or your employer for keeping somebody they deem harmful employed.

He just has to live as Al Sharpton did for many years - everything was "provided" to him by someone else. His $1,000 suits were a permanent loan. Limo rides were paid by someone else. His house was not in his name. Etc, etc, etc.

Eventually, someone paid off Sharpton's lawsuit and he's back to normal but that won't happen with a billion dollars.

They don’t care about the victims and their families.

They are doing it to punish Jones and make an example of him to anyone else who dares to question their narrative.

It’s strictly about manipulation and intimidation.

They may as well have charged him Eleventy-gazillion billion dollars since that’s just as rational as expecting him to pay one billion.

Except he didn’t slander the victims. And these aren’t even “victims”. Hell, one of them is a FIB guy who claims he was somehow “damaged”....though the plaintiffs have offered no evidence of what he said exactly or how they were in any way damaged.

Well now is your change to sue the victims for whatever excuse you want and see how well you do.

Jones is perceived by Leftist trash to be a Trump supporter, hence the ridiculous ruling. It really is that simple.

“what he’s accused of... that being the disbelief whether or not the shooting happened the way it’s been depicted”

That’s not what he was accused of, or what the jury found him liable for.

Alex Jones is an easy target, but the real targets are you and I.

If I pulled the same crap that Jones pulled then I'd deserve the target on my back. Until then, Jones made his bed so he can lie in it.

> not to mention, how can his opinion be sued... as it’s just another example of free speech. <

The 1A protects you against the government when it comes to free speech. It does not protect you against private individuals.

So, for example, I can say all day long that I think Joe Biden is a pedophile. Biden is a government official. The 1A protects me. But if I say the same thing about my neighbor down the street, I can be sued for damages. And then a jury will decide.

“They did not even allow him to mount a defense.”

Nonsense. He was allowed to mount a defense, but it’s hard to mount one when you do not show up for your court date.
