Absolutely astronomical figures in this InfoWars lawsuit out of Connecticut.

Alex Jones owes $229 million to just the first three plaintiffs, all family members of Sandy Hook victims.

There are nine more plaintiffs to go.

Even Jones gave up trying to add up damages: "We've lost count, it's in the billions."

>Alex Jones owes $229 million to just the first three plaintiffs,

I thought that punitive was capped at $750,000 in Texas.

Yet a judge dismisses a case brought by Trump against the Clinton’s when there is proof they paid to smear him. Nothing to see here- justice is blind

Don’t know much about this guy or this case, but this award is absurd. Our justice system had become a joke.

Can’t say I’m going to lose any sleep over it. Slander the victims and you pay the price.

how is that even remotely equitable to what he’s accused of... that being the disbelief whether or not the shooting happened the way it’s been depicted.

not to mention, how can his opinion be sued... as it’s just another example of free speech.

hell, he should sue the justice system for attempting to squash his 1st amendment rights with such astronomical fines

This was a ridiculous show trial from the start. They did not even allow him to mount a defense.

It goes without saying that this should be set aside as should the one in Texas. This is all about simply trying to silence a political opponent.

If Jones were a simpering pajama boy, what would the award be, if anything? Would he have even been brought to trial? This is a political show and punishment.

same here. I do not generally hate him, but this is pure obama. It’s no coincidence it was filed in CT.

Except he didn’t slander the victims. And these aren’t even “victims”. Hell, one of them is a FIB guy who claims he was somehow “damaged”....though the plaintiffs have offered no evidence of what he said exactly or how they were in any way damaged.

What about the rights of the plaintiffs? Should they have no first amendment rights too?
