Like “Red Corner” CCP law
Sorry but I know enough about the case to know that was his choice.
He chose not to be responsive in discovery and if his attorneys were competent he knew what that meant.
And saying he produced a ton of documents is no help - he was required to produce specific information and refused to do so.
Volume doesn't matter, relevance does.
What is it you think he didn’t provide that he actually had?
And in what other cases was that particular nondisclosure justify a default judgement? Wouldn’t a civil sanction or other lesser remedy?
And the award itself is beyond the pale. Hiw can the 90 mil. to the FBI agent be justified?
I don’t know specifically. Apparently something the plaintiffs were entitled to.
And in what other cases was that particular nondisclosure justify a default judgement?
All of them. Right of discovery is fundamental to our civil judicial system. Default judgment is the result of Jones refusing to follow the Court’s orders.
